BeaverCraft Wood Carving Gloves CRG - Cutting Cut Resistant Gloves Level 5 for Whittling, Woodworking, Food Prep

I bought these to go with a couple BeaverCraft carving sets. I cringed at the price and wondered if they would pay off. Well, I slipped them on, which was easy enough. I then noticed the cool feel, not hot like so many gloves. In fact, these are the most comfortable gloves I have ever worn for any reason! I have never needed the tape, even though I have some--too much trouble. These gloves do the job, fit well, grip well, and well worth the price paid. I like gloves that I forget I am even wearing!

i like the fit of the gloves. I have other gloves and they make my fingers too big to grip my carving knives.

Is it completely cut resistant? No. It will slice with enough pressure. However, it's good for an accidental slip up with knives, it will save you from cuts for sure. with all honesty the grip is not the best. There is no traction. It would be good to have some traction on the palm and fingers of the gloves to hold the knife well. overall, the gloves are great.

The gloves are nice and fit well. They are anti-slashing but not anti-puncture: when whittling, the knife punctured through the glove and an 1/8in into the palm of my hand.

Got these for my husband who has taken up wood crafting/carving. They've turned out to be more than nice; they're essential. They really, really work to protect him from cuts.

Love these gloves. I will not carve without them. My knife slipped and hit my finger I thought I had cut it for sure but when I took off the glove not a mark on me. Good quality, grip and value for the protection they provide.

they feel so thin, i was apprehensive to even try. The amount of fingers i would have lost at this point without these gloves....i wouldn't be able to type this.

So one thing to note is that a pair of gloves is not a substitute for being careful. It does a decent job of protecting your hands for minor slippage of tools. Its not good for a sharp pointy thing like an awl. but it does work for edges like a knife or a chisel. Within reason.... I use them for wood craft. And it does a decent job for me. But I would not recommend it for cutting meat of fish. The fabric looks like it will hold a smell over time. That's my guess, so decide for yourself. As for durability, time will tell. ...

These work as stated... Have save me from more than one trip to the emergency room for stitches. Size is a question, I measured my hand and online guides said I was a man's large but I normally wear a men's medium... Ordered the large and they fit me snuggly.

Haven't cut myself yet. Came close but the glove seemed to have saved me from injury.
