Did this product change my life? Short answer: Basically, yes! Tube is huge which was a bonus, I was expecting it to be small but it’s a pretty decent size. I only to 1tbsp after meals and before bed and it has significantly reduced my throat irritation and reflux symptoms. I can sometimes feel my stomach acid trying to come up but NOPE this product does exactly as as it describes. I’m able to sleep better, it tastes decent and has a gel like consistency that coats my throat immediately and it has made a world of a difference. Within a few days my irritation is next to none and I don’t feel so scared to eat anymore. Thank god for this product it’s 10/10.

This product was recommended to me by a speech pathologist who knew that there wasn’t a strong likelihood that gastrointestinal issues were the main cause of a gagging issue I was having. Nonetheless, we wanted an option to address things from that angle, without expensive and invasive testing. I have to say, just taking it once per day, at night before bed, has 100% relieved the acid reflux I occasionally get. I’ve used it for about six weeks now, and I’m very happy with it. The taste is fairly pleasant for a supplement, as well.

I'm giving it four stars instead of five because of cost. The essential sodium alginate ingredient is low enough that two spoonfuls are required per dose for this to be effective, which means fewer doses per purchase compared to other products, and it disappears awfully fast taking 2 to 4 times per day! That said, this is by far the best tasting reflux therapy product I have tried, so if you can afford the high price I definitely would recommend it. It feels nice and soothing on the throat going down also, which is wonderful.

I've suffered from reflux that seemed to come on like a raging beast after completing 2 years of chemotherapy. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, and was told that a somewhat risky surgery might fix it, but complications like not being able to swallow could occur. After trying pharmaceuticals that caused light headedness, then taking the highest allowed RX for Pepcid, Tums, eating very small meals, following the recommended diet and all of the things they say to do, I was still having horrible indigestion and reflux. After months of trying different things, my gastroenterologist suggested I try using this alginate. It sounded weird but also like a safe alternative to surgery (which I've learned from experience that the more you F with things, the more they get F'd up) So after using this product exactly as the bottle suggests, I'm pleasantly surprised that it actually helped. You just have to plan out when you're going to use it since you can't eat or drink after. The texture is a bit weird but you get used to it. The flavor is fine in my opinion. It is pretty expensive, but worth it in my opinion after suffering so much and finally getting some relief. For me, I still need the Pepcid and Tums, and can't eat spicy or fatty food without having some indigestion, so I have to stick to all of the recommended diet stuff, but sometimes you just gotta live a little!

I can actually sleep lying down now! Before this product I had sleep sitting up, but no more. I sleep and feel so much better. It is allowing my esophagus to heal. I take it quickly because I don't care for how strong the flavor is, and then I brush my teeth. I very rarely leave reviews, but this one is worth it. Pricey, but it is a very large tube, and you only take a small spoonful.

I bought RefluxRaft after looking for something better for overnight reflux, and I’m glad I did. I’ve dealt with reflux issues at night, and this has worked noticeably better for me than regular chewable antacids like Tums, and it takes care of nightly reflux that treatments like Prilosec often fail to do. The biggest difference is how quickly it helps. When reflux starts acting up, this gives me fast relief and feels more effective for that burning/acid feeling than Tums. It also seems better suited for nighttime reflux because it feels like it creates more of a lasting barrier rather than just temporarily calming things down. Taste is another major plus. I’ve tried Gaviscon before, and honestly, Gaviscon is disgusting by comparison. The Berry Burst flavor is much easier to take and doesn’t make me dread using it. For something you may need before bed or during the night, that matters. What I like: Fast relief for reflux symptoms Works better for me than Tums Much better taste than Gaviscon Good option for overnight reflux Berry Burst flavor is easy to tolerate Zero sugar / low sodium is a nice bonus It’s more expensive than basic antacids, but based on how well it works for my overnight reflux, I think it’s worth it. I’ve already purchased it more than once and plan to keep it on hand.

I tried this and it worked somewhat. I bought a new package and afterwards realized it wasn't working as great as I thought. I wish I could return my unopened box of it.

My ENT recommended the other brand which unfortunately has an ingredient that interacts with another medication I take. THIS BRAND DOES NOT. I found that this works the same way but without the interactive ingredient. I echo other reviews that Reflux Raft is quite effective at reducing overnight reflux and I'll reorder when this tube gets low. My only complaint is that the cap does not fit firmly onto the tube and a tiny bit of the gooey substance leaks out. ( See photo) This is a nuisance as I travel a couple of days each week and I have to clean my travel bag and clothes. This could be corrected with a tighter fitting cap or maybe a slim rubber gasket between the tube and the cap.
