This is an excellent splint set and very well made. It’s lightweight, strong, easy to mold, and packs down small for a kit or bag. Extremely versatile for emergency use. Everyone should have at least one of these on hand.

I have been wanting to get these for some time now and I finally got them for all my First Aid kits that I have throughout the home and in the car. I have seen these in use before and they are great for hiking, for those who like the outdoors, or quite frankly just having them especially if one has kids who think they are unbreakable and super active. The splints surprisingly do not take up much space considering that they look large but since it comes flat, they don't take up much space in your kits/bags. These are easy and straightforward to use, practical and functional, and a must have in any first aid kit.

I'm not a EMT or paramedic, just a guy who wants to help. I keep a trauma bag in my car and these Rhino splints are a nice addition to my gear. They're compact enough to stay out of the way until I need them (so far, not yet) but several friend who are EMTs swear by them. They are easy to apply and conform well to the joint/affected area. Guys with hairy arms may not be excited by the tape used to hold them in place, but hey, the hair grows back. That amputated part will not (if it's not stabilized correctly.) And I have successfully used this on myself, just to see if it can be done. If the injury is to a lower extremity it is easy to do by yourself. However, if you have just one good arm to use, it's not easy. Doable, not not much fun. Rhino makes products in quite a few sizes - it may be hard to choose which sizes to stock. Remember, they can be cut to size, so bigger really is better.
