what material is the outside of the case?

It has a satin finish. It’s not like a hard shell case, but it’s sturdy enough and protects the glasses.

I can't tell from description - can you hook case to belt or belt loop on pants?

it just has a loop of fabric on the side, but it does not open or click

Is the case large enough for RayBan Wayfarer glasses?

The eyeglass case outside dimensions is 6.7long, 2.7 wide and 2.3 high. Hope this helps!
