401 DESIGN TITANIC 100TH ANNIV COAL TEAR DROP NECKLACE W/COA AUTHENTIC MEMORABILIA

I have been studying the history of Titanic for 17 years and have yet to tire of it. I once had a small piece of coal from Titanic bought for me and set up in a cage necklace, but the buyer did not anticipate that I was allergic to the metal in the chain and I was forced to stop wearing it. When I could no longer wear it, I gave the coal itself as a gift to another person who also had a fondness for Titanic's tragic history, and I soon found myself lacking a connection to the doomed liner. I had to find some way that I could display my love of Titanic without having a negative affect and low and behold, I found this lovely necklace. It's fabric robe chain gave me hope that I could display that appreciation for history once again, and now that it is in my possession, I am overcome with joy that I am able to wear it while I type this without getting a rash. I adore this product and I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived so soon after having purchased it. Also, I was happy to discover that the crystal/glass charm was the perfect size. Not too big or too small and the coal itself had me stunned that I was holding, once again, a tragic reminder that over 1500 people died due to ignorance and human error. I recommend this product to all Titanic historians and anyone fascinated by it's history. It is the perfect piece for a Titanic collection.

Nice piece of history. I have a keen interest in the Titanic disaster and am an overall history buff. Its rare that you actually get to have a tangible object from said history. When I wear this necklace, I find myself thinking sometimes "this coal actually went to the bottom of the ocean on the Titanic and now I'm wearing it" Sappy I know but that is my reality :). I find myself - just saying to myself - I have to trust the certificate of authenticity as to its source because there is no way to know for sure right?The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the necklace itself is super cheap. I removed the tear drop, which is itself good quality, off the necklace and put it on a nice leather choker necklace I had. I also think the two silver toned accents on either side of the pendant (as seen in the picture) are actually plastic - or could be really cheap aluminum. I'm not sure, they were so cheap I didn't investigate them but promptly threw them away.

The necklace came ok, but the COA card had been folded in half so I will not give this bent item as a gift. Should not have been putin a over sized bag, that forced the carrier to fold it to get it into the mailbox. Doing that bent the COA card.

I am absolutely please with this beautiful and small piece of history that fits wonderfully with my Titanic collection. I received this necklace quickly and it was very well packed to protect against damage during shipment. The certificate that comes with it is informative and numbered. I will be recommending this seller and the products to family and friends.

It's pretty neat to hold a piece (very small piece) of history in your hands. I've always been a huge Titanic fan - er, is fan the right word? Probably not. But very interested in the Titanic and all that happened 100 years ago this year. So to hold something in your hands that was actually on the ship when it sank - pretty wild. The necklace is packaged nicely with a "letter of authenticity" on the back. Of course there's not much to the necklace itself and I am making my own necklace specifically for this pendant. Even though this is so gimmacky, it's still amazing and well worth the price.

My sister is obsessed with the Titanic movie ( she watches it at least twice a week.) I didn't know what to buy her for her birthday, but then I saw this necklace. Needless to say, she hardly ever takes it off. Great gift, great piece of history!

If you are not interested in anything "Titanic" this probably won't mean much to you. But I do and I've bought several of these necklaces to use as gifts. My wife loved it because it contained an item from the actual Titanic. My mother loved it because she was even closer to the history of this story. The necklaces came packed well and no breakage.If you need a gift for someone who might find the history of the Titanic interesting, this is it. The price isn't bad either.Jim
