Can I wear it to work

Yes!!! Breathable and very comfy

Do you recommend to wear an under shirt?

This waist trainer vest is super comfortable to wear everyday. No need to wear shirt under it. You will love it.

Does this waist trainer actually help my tummy go down?

It'll help you remember to flex your abs so you can imagine it as a work out. I imagine it can help you not feel like you should eat as much since there's literally no space. From sweating it might cause you to drink more water as well, and also correcting your posture which will make you look taller and not slouchy.
