Excellent pumice cleaner.
This works well to remove baked on food and stains especially from my cast iron skillets and stainless steel pots and pans. It even works well on my kitchen sink. There are less expensive pumice sticks, which I was tempted to try, but this one worked so well before, I decided to reorder.

I had never heard of these before...
until I did a search on removing mineral deposits from porcelain toilets. We purchased a home that was used as a vacation home - and had the level of maintenance you would expect with such use (who fixes their house on vacation?). The toilet bowls were all stained with mineral deposits... ring around the water level and stripes down the sides. Not only unattractive, but they just didn't smell (nor look) clean. I spent about an hour (and two of these sticks) to do all three bowls and... they look nearly new. The bowls are white once again with only a faint hint of the deposits in the bowl that would likely come out further if I continued to abrade them. There are no scratches in the porcelain (that I can see), they stay cleaner, smell fresher (don't forget to grind off the gunk under the rim), and saved me a bunch of money on replacing the entire toilet. Also used them on the kitchen sink (porcelain) to clean the deposits from around the sink strainers. Again... worked like a charm. Just make sure you use a reasonable amount of water as a lubricant. The stones dissolve and leave a gray pumice in their wake (easily rinses away). Use the edge at an angle (like you would a pencil eraser) to get the best results. Polish it off with a little Barkeepers Friend and you're golden.

My shower has never looked better!
This product is amazing!! I tried many products from vinegar, bar keeper's friend, baking soda, and strong chemicals to get hard water stains off the shower. I had even read that once glass is etched, the only way to get it off is to hire someone to polish it! While I found a product to keep hard water etching at bay in a new shower, we inherited a badly etched shower when we had to move. After a lot of elbow grease, we decided to just deal w/the mucky shower until we saved enough to redo the bathroom. Enter the Pumie Scouring Stick. I had all my toilet rings gone in minutes. I thought, dare I take a chance on my shower? Yes! You can see how cr*p-tastic my shower glass was. In one photo, I show how I rubbed the Pumie Scouring Stick in the middle of an etched area. I went in a circular motion maybe 30-40 times. Voila, there is a clear circle in the midst of the haze. You can also see on the shower door how much clearer and cleaner the glass is. When I also cleaned part of the side panel, I can now clearly see the tile through 2 layers of glass into the shower. I will say that I think I started a little too vigorously on the glass. I would say a moderate pressure and more scrubbing is more effective than really hard scrubbing, as I think I scratched the glass a little in the first areas I scrubbed. Also...it'll take me a long time to do the entire shower. It does work, but I had to go over some areas multiple times to get an area completely clear. Still, I love this product and I don't know how I ever cleaned without it! We live on septic and well, and our shower heads get all gunked up. Cleaned it right off! Fan for life!

Love this stuff.
This product is fantastic. It removes all the hardwater stains without any chemicals. In fact, it outperforms all the other hard water stain removers I have tried over the years, and I have tried lots of them. It's easy to use, and doesn't require much effort at all. The only thing it leaves behind is a perfectly clean surface. There is a bit of grit that rinses away easily and thoroughly. This is inexpensive and environmentally clean and friendly. I use this on all my sinks, tubs, toilets, etc. The water out of our taps leaves stains on everything even though we have a whole house filtration system. I've used it on my coffee maker, glass and ceramic mugs and vases. I also use it on my glass stovetop, It has not scratched anything I've cleaned with it, and I will not go back to using any other product. Shipping was extremely fast, got here before I though it would and it was packaged perfectly. If you have problems with hard water stains, or calcification, this is the answer.

Pumie is shrinking in length
The product is great. It delivers what it promises. I have been using Pumie for many years. However, I am disappointed in the way Pumie keeps reducing the size of the stick. I have seen the stick go from 6 x 1 1/4 x 3/4 in, to 5 3/4 x 1 1/4 x 3/4 in, and now 5.25 x 1.25 x .75 in. The Pumie stick length has been reduced from its original length of 6 inches to the current length of 5 1/4 inches. But the packaging hasn't changed. The box is still 6 inches long. We are now receiving 12.5% less product. Amazon adds to the confusion by describing the size as 1.2 x 6.1 x 5.8 inches ! For this reason, I will only give this product a rating of 4 stars.

Bought these a while ago and was hoping they would do a decent job. Used one today and did the shower, tub plus 3 toilets to perfection. Didn't take much effort but the toilets are spotless. The stick removed a ton of buildup in the shower and hard water stains in the tub very easily. Now to wait and use the additional sticks in a couple more months if needed. The 4 pack should last a while. Very happy with the sticks and the price!!

I was desperate to improve an old toilet bowl... the result was a great improvement with little (physical) effort. Then came improvements in oven trays and grills and finally achieved great results with some old rusted tools in the garage. The Pumie scouring stick has proved to be a great rejuvinator. The stone wears down fairly quickly when used, but what the heck... I can always buy more.
