I’ve been using a Linksys SE3008 8 port network switch since it was released in 2013, it still works perfectly, and I haven’t had a single issue with it. But it was time to upgrade, simply because I needed more ports. I wanted to stick with Linksys because they are very reliable, so I purchased the LGS116 16 port switch. I’m sure I will get many yeas of use out of it, like I did with the SE3008. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 16 port unmanaged switch, to get the Linksys LGS116.

**Q: I have a linksys wrt3200 series wifi router hooked to a arris surfboard modem. If i connext this switch to the wrt3200 will it work?**
A: The WRT3200 should work fine as wi-fi channel when connected to arris modem.  I have the LGS105 connected to an Arris wi-Fi modem.  The connection was straightforward PnP.

**Q: Does this switch support cut-through switching (also called cut-through forwarding)? It cuts latency significantly.**
A: I doubt it as it’s a simple unmanaged switch. Visit the mfg site for details.

This 16 port switch has been as advertised for me. I have had zero issues and the plug 'n' play part works perfectly. I have worked with many types of network switches (unmanaged, managed, registered and secured registry) and the Linksys LGS116 is a great switch for any home network. I used one of these units to set up my home network and I have had nothing but a great experience setting everything up. No permanent registry entry's, or temporary ones.
