The Aqua Guard Glove did an excellent job of keeping my wrist surgery site dry during many showers for 2 weeks. The glove was large enough to slide over my soft cast prior to showering and then remove it after showering to be used again after drying it. The key to making the glove work is to keep the enclosed strap as tight as possible to ensure a good seal around the top and cutting off any excess sleeve that is not necessary.

I've used it to shower several times a week in the past month. Easy to put on and never get water in it. Because of the splint on my wrist my hand doesn't fit into the section for the fingers but the sleeve is plenty long enough. The clasp on the band feels flimsy but hasn't broken. Great value.

Worked very well for showering after hand surgery. Wish it had different sizes.

This product is ok for many, perhaps most, patients needing to protect an arm or wrist dressing from shower water. It is not usable for wrist surgery patients who have been fitted with an external fixator device which uses an articulated bar to hold in alignment pins which have been screwed into the bones of the arm and hand to hold broken wrist bones in rigid alignment. Not enough room in the plastic cover to accommodate the hardware. Otherwise a good product at a reasonable price. The reusable strap with the slide lock works well.

The quality of this item is similar to the gloves you peel off the instruction sheet of a home hair-dye kit. I hoped the fingers would allow me to manipulate and grasp items more easily, but I couldn’t even get the long plastic fingers onto my digits in a way which would allow any useful actions. Save your money! I put my left hand with the cast in a baggie and managed to hold and peel vegetables, and handle a piece of raw meat for a pot roast, without soiling or wetting my below elbow cast. In the shower, I double bag with small garbage bags (the thin type you buy on a roll) twisting and tucking the open end under the cast, then I just keep it elevated. Works fine. That said, someone needs to come up with a durable, effective hand and cast protector, which allows better hand function.

I am so surprised at how well this kept water off my cast when I was showering! Fact that it has fingers made it easy to wash my hair with a cast on my hand up to my elbow, without getting water on my cast!I was able to get 4 to 5 uses out of each bag. You just have to watch the video to see how to put the little band on but it's super easy to use, and I was totally impressed!
