How wide in this product?

Wide enough about the same size as the Grove on the headlight

I would contact vendor and ask them. It's great stuff and the vendor is very responsive and reliable.

Will it work to reglue the back window in a mini cooper convertible?

I'm not sure but it sounds like you'd need something more adhesive-like. This is sort of sticky and pliable, but works best if you have a space to smash it into. More like a seal I think than adhesive.
