Review: Cheap enough to give it a go and pleased with the purchase. - I used to watch TV in the dark because having a light on in front of the TV was distracting and annoying. However I read about these backlights and their benefits so tried putting a lamp behind the TV. I liked having a light on that was behind the TV so purchased this as it was cheap enough. I'm happy with the purchase. It was easy to install and it powers up with the TV via the TVs USB port. I also bought a splitter to power these and still be able to plug a flash drive into the TV and the set up works great. This covers three sides on the back of our 24 inch TV with ease. I can't say I notice a change in contrast or picture quality improving but I can say I now prefer watching TV with these lights on so maybe it's more of a subliminal thing?

I used to watch TV in the dark because having a light on in front of the TV was distracting and annoying. However I read about these backlights and their benefits so tried putting a lamp behind the TV. I liked having a light on that was behind the TV so purchased this as it was cheap enough. I'm happy with the purchase. It was easy to install and it powers up with the TV via the TVs USB port. I also bought a splitter to power these and still be able to plug a flash drive into the TV and the set up works great. This covers three sides on the back of our 24 inch TV with ease. I can't say I notice a change in contrast or picture quality improving but I can say I now prefer watching TV with these lights on so maybe it's more of a subliminal thing?

Superb backlight. Great cool white light. Not perfect 6500k but close enough. I used a one metre version for my 58” TV as a single central strip. As not on a wall bracket, you can use a single width as the distance from the wall alllows the light to travel further and glow wider around the screen. My set up is about 18” from the wall so lots of bloom from the lights to the wall. If you are wall mounting, I’d recommend four sides as per the illustration. Great value compared to the media light. Unless you are super critical, these will do. Don’t buy the LED cheap strips with multi colours as you won’t get the cool white to match the display properly.
