One of them was quite brown and dried out on the back which you can still see in pic 3. They’ve both bloomed loads. I put small stones in the bottom of the planters for drainage then mixed some mulch bark into Eraceous soil to retain moisture then bark on the top around the plant itself once planted. It needs Ericacesious compost (acid) if you repot the plant. **Q: Can you plant this plant directly in to my garden border** A: Hi, don't see any problem with that, however when you purchase the azalea it's very young, so it would be better in a pot for the first year, 5 or 6 ltr one, just so it's roots get istablished. That's what I have done. Mine is still in pots after 3 months and it's doing OK. Hope this helps. **Q: Which is best bright hardy plants for outdoors** A: Azalea is quite good. I also planted a rhododendron, which has grown into a large bush in ten years. Every summer once or twice it's in full bloom. Very beautiful.
