Declining quality as time goes by
I’ve been wearing Sperry boat shoes for decades and, like other purchasers, have noticed a decline in quality over the years. For one thing, the leather upper seems to be thinner than several years ago, and the inside is not as well made, with materials of lesser quality. My most recent pair doesn’t have laces that are permanently tied and loosen easily. Unless I can find some at a good sale price, I think I’ll switch to something else for my everyday, casual shoes.
