I have a decent collection of records and thought I'd roll the dice. I received a variety of big band, classical, jazz, stuff from the 40s and 50s. Very eclectic and things I would not have purchased normally but am really excited to add to my collection. I loved the records and anticipation of not knowing what I was getting so I rolled the dice again and ordered another box. The 2nd box had discs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (my eras) and included 2 K-Tel albums that I had when I was 10 years old. Talk about being transported back to the past. It was as if this box had been tailor-made for me! As I took each record out of the box I felt like a kid again opening one great Xmas gift after another. I had originally planned on gifting the 2nd box to my brother but that's not happening! I guess he'll have to order his own. All of the records came quickly, were well packed, good value, and in good condition. For those people who complained about the genres they received remember this ... it's a mystery box. Lighten up! I can’t believe that I just paid money for someone else’s garbage. None of these are playable they look and smelled as if they were in some grandma‘s basement for the last 75 years. Don’t get this it is seriously a waste of the gas. It took UPS to deliver it.

Great classical pieces

This is what it says it is. Kinda like playing the lottery. I got maybe 5-6 records I knew of good older music. Approx 10 might likes and the rest will prob be taken to a thrift store. Still wasn't a bad price. Take your chances.

Very pleased. 4.5 stars. Arrival did take 11 days. So be aware. Not really the seller’s fault. But it appeared that the box wasn’t shipped immediately. The contents were worth my wait. Opening the box and seeing what I got was half the fun! Albums are clean, what I’ve seen so far are in nearly perfect visual condition. Covers are very good. Some slight blemishes like shelf wear or a speckle here or there. They are musty, however - because they’re 60 years old! So far, I believe the albums are from the 60s and 70s. I’m still cataloging, listening and searching info on these albums. I recognize 12 of 20. The albums I received are a good mix of pop, rock, opera, easy listening, instrumental, etc. Joan Baez, Mamas & the Papas, Johnny Mathis, Bobby Darin, Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Anne Murray, Helen Reddy, Dinah Sire, Pavarotti, Fats Waller… to name a few.

Very disappointed. I didn’t think that I would get many albums that would be good, but these were all junk. Just bought my daughter a record player she wanted since she is away at college. Being cooped up thought it would be fun for her. She like classic rock through modern stuff so I was guessing maybe 3 or 4 albums she could listen too. A couple 1970’s country albums I at least knew the musician. Rest were junk. 1 was even a yoga instruction album. Seriously? Figured maybe 1 old Billy Joel or Elton John album could be on it. Nope. Wish I had just spent less to buy 1 specific album I know she would have liked.

Such a cool mystery box of records. I even had some that were brand new that were still in the wrapping. I felt like it had a very good variety of different types of music as well.
