The straps that go over your ankle are good and sturdy. I like the elastic , although I am not sure how durable the elastic will be. The fin savers stay on very well, but the top velcro straps lie flat when they are on, so it is hard to find the end of the velcro piece to pull them off in the water. Thers more expensive ones but the back heal broke or rotted 1st . Never lost fin before and I had these Duck Feet since 1990 . Good value . Better than not having .
