## Description

From the manufacturer Our filter media range consists of specially treated papers, fleeces, or multilayer filter media, depending on the specification and application. MAHLE paper filters are made of high-quality cellulose fibres impregnated with special resins for use in air, fuel, oil, and hydraulic filters. Plastic fibers provide the basic material for fleeces — the finer the fiber, the better the retention. The fleeces are applied in layers, whereby the fineness of the fibers and the fleece density increase from the dirty to the clean side. This funnel effect allows retention efficiencies of up to 99.9% with low flow resistance. Multilayer filter media are predominantly installed in modern diesel fuel injection systems. Compared with conventional paper filters, the combination of fleece and paper has an absorption capacity that is up to 40% higher. Engine oil is permanently contaminated — combustion residues, dust, oil carbon, soot, abrasion particles, and condensates accelerate the wear of the engine components. Clean engine oil reduces friction, cools the engine parts, protects against corrosion, and seals the combustion chamber. MAHLE oil filters reliably keep out the dirt particles. The stable pleat geometry assures cold-start stability, peak loads of up to 20 bar are compensated by the high pressure resistance of the housing.

**Q: Does this filter fit my 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4?**
A: Probably.  It fits my 2001 Carrera 2, and to the best of my knowledge nothing was changed on the engine until 2002, and I don't think the 4 wheel vs 2 wheel drive would affect anything

**Q: Will the mahle ox 128/1 d oil filter fit my 2003 porsche 996/2 c4s?**
A: Yes I use this in my 2001 996 Carrera 2 and 2001 986 Boxster S.  It fits all early M96 Porsche engines.

**Q: This shows the dimensions to be 9.96 x 7.02 x 5.31 in.   What I received is not 10” long on any dimension. Can you verify please?**
