The best salicylic acid peel I've used
I’ve been using acid peels on my face for quite a while now. I regularly use mandelic acid as well as salicylic acid. I’ve not been happy with my salicylic acid peel for a while now, but generally not one to waste product, I used it until it was gone (finally!), then went on the hunt for a better one. What I learned from my former peel: I needed to find a peel with as few ingredients as possible, I needed one without tea tree oil (I feel like my old one might have been mostly made of tea tree oil), and I needed to find one that wouldn’t make my face feel like it was melting! Enter ASDM Beverly Hills 20% Salicylic Acid Peel. Firstly, let me just say if this is as far as you get into my review…get it. It works as a peel and spot treatment. Seriously, it’s great. Okay, I’ll assume you’re still reading now. My facial skin is combination and acne prone. From the first time I used this peel, I knew I’d found a winner. This product is leaps and bounds above my last brand of acid peel. To use, I just wipe it over my clean face, wait about 5 minutes, then apply moisturizer. No stink, no burn, no alligator skin for days after. It does tingle after application, but please remember…I’m an acid peel veteran! If you’re new to peels, I’d recommend the lower salicylic acid concentration. I’ve used this peel three times in a full-face application, and have used it as a spot treatment four times after an ill-fated attempt at trying a new salicylic acid serum. This product just flat-out works for me. When used as a full-face treatment, I wake up with healthy looking skin and nary a zit in sight. Smooth skin, too. When used as a spot treatment, it shrinks blemishes overnight. I couldn’t be happier with this peel. Seriously. It works for my skin and I see immediate positive results. The price is right as well. I give this product my highest recommendation. I’ve tried the others and this one just makes the other salicylic acid peels I’ve used look like amateurs. *I was given the opportunity to purchase this product at a discounted price so I could give it a try and leave an honest review. All experiences stated are my own based on use of the product. I never guarantee positive reviews…I only guarantee honest reviews. It might be risky to not always leave 5-star reviews as perhaps I won’t always be chosen to try a product, but that’s a price I’m willing to pay. My integrity is not up for grabs. It just so happens this product earned every one of those 5 stars, and I’m definitely going to happily pay full price for each bottle from here on out. I love it.

Did not clear my acne/ blackheads. Made skin slightly better
I have comedonal acne which is very therapy resistant. I have been on accutane, adapalene, benzoyl peroxide which all worked for the infected breakouts but not the small comedones. I have allot of really stubborn blackheads on my nose . I did a total of 7 peels. which i left on untill i could not take it anymore which usually was about 10 minutes. it frosted and i peeled every time. It had a very light effect on my skin. My cheek area does look more cleaned out and my skin looks refreshed. But my blackheads are still where they were and i keep getting new whiteheads all over my face. im not sure what else i can do for my blackheads. I will try another brand to see if it works better.

Great product, saves money otherwise spent at the aestheticians, but proceed with great caution.
I waited several months before fully evaluating this product. I can now say it's wonderful! I use it for myself as well as my teens with acne. It does need to be used with great caution, and read the directions thoroughly. The first time it is used, just do a small area such as the chin or half of your forehead. Have a strong fan nearby and an ice pack ( the ones you place in a lunch box) in the event you cannot tolerate the burning sensation. We found that after several applications, the sensation is just a warmth, not a burn, and your skin becomes accustomed to the salycylic acid. Your skin will peel, and the new skin underneath will be glowing, lovely, free of congestion. Saves a ton of money that you would otherwise spend at the aesthetician. As you use the product, it also becomes slightly weaker. We are now on our second bottle, use it roughly once of month, and are completely satisfied.

Apply in sections on your face
I will say that reading the reviews for this product scared me. Perhaps my face isn't as sensitive as everyone else's, because it took Most of the 5 minutes to finally feel my skin tingling. The consistency of this product is great; it's somewhat like oil, so it's perfect to spread along the face without having it drip off the face. That said, I applied this product in sections, knowing that different parts of my face aren't the same sensitivity. I totally recommend that you apply this product in sections as well. I directly squeezed the product from the bottle onto my face and used a wooden stick to spread the product. I applied it to my forehead first for 5 minutes (didn't feel any tingling, perhaps because the skin there is thicker). After the five minutes, I washed the product off from my forehead. Next were my cheeks and temples. The apples of my cheeks were gently tingling by the fourth minute, and by the time I washed the product off at 5 minutes, my skin gently peeled off, so it works as a great exfoliant. The last part was my chin, with the same results as my cheeks. It has left my skin feeling "minty", but not raw. I suggest once you start to feel tingling, wait another 30 seconds or so before you wash off the product. Moving forward, I'll leave the product on my forehead a bit longer until I can feel it tingling.

Excellent, gentle multipurpose peel
I love this peel! It's not too strong but is strong enough to get the job done. It doesn't burn my skin like others I have used and I love that it's self neutralizing. I use it once a week and then exfoliate with a good gentle scrub or brush once a day for the next few days. For best results I recommend using a really good moisturizer with hyaluroni acid to keep skin soft and not overly dry. This product works great for acne, clogged pores and for aging skin to encourage cell renewal. My teen girls even use it to spot treat acne and i also use it on skin tags and moles and am currently tyring it on a wart!

Don't think it's safe to use at home unless you know what you're doing.
Too strong for my face! It burned so badly I took it right off and won't be using again. Thankfully it did not leave a mark, but I was standing right over the sink at the time.

Neutralizes itself & makes built up skin dry and flake off well.
I bought this for full price & took a chance. It neutralizes itself, which is great! You put it on, feel nothing, then a slight burn, and then it goes away. No need to put any neutralizer on, so it's easy to use. I apply it with a cotton round. It really does make the area peel. I use it for spot treatment on excessive skin. I tend to get skin buildup in places. Nothing under it. Girl who gave me a facial said I had nothing blocking the pores, just skin build up. She put some salicylic acid on the areas. I can't afford that kind of pro treatment all the time, so I bought this to do at home. I'd NOT put it on your whole face, just raised bits you'd like to see slowly flake off. Good value.
