Kevin Murphy - Gritty Business - 100mg / 3.4oz

This is hands down the best men's styling product ever. I've tried lots of different products, being rather picky selecting each, but Gritty Business is without question the one that works best (shout out to Terence Renati Mud Wax too though) ;)It has always looked coolest with styled thick matte hair, which this product let's you achieve even with fine hair (like mine). It works for all types of hair though, and with short as well as long hairstyles (I change hairstyle from time to time). It's quick and easy to use, but contains bee's wax so you have too warm it up with your palms before use. Gritty Business is fairly strong and lasts all day & night, real bang for the buck! All Kevin Murphy's products are natural and contain no unhealthy parabenes and such.Use it in damp or slightly wet hair. That way it is very easy to distribute and work with. The smell is nice too by the way.I'm writing this review hoping that they will always keep producing this stuff, as it is simply the greatest men's hair styling product out there.

this stuff does what it says gives nice hold and doesnt make the hair brittle like gel or isnt greasy like usual wax....but only worry is the smell is odd its like mud.....

I AGREE WITH SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS THINKING THIS IS FAKE. I DID WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DID.TRIED TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS ON AMAZON. THIS PRODUCT WAS VERY SMOOTH WITH NO GRITTY TEXTURE WHAT SO EVER. THE COLOR WAS DIFFERENT AND THE TEXTURE WAS MUCH HARDER THAN WHAT I HAVE RECIEVED FROM THE SALON. MY QUESTION IS WHY WOULD THEY GET RID OF THE GRIT IN A PRODUCT CALLED GRITTY BUSINESS? SOMETHING DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT AND I THINK THIS IS A FAKE. THE SMELL SEEMS TO BE PRETTY CLOSE TO THE OTHER JAR I HAD BUT STILL NOT RIGHT. I AM GOING TO THE SALON TOMARROW AND BUYING A NEW JAR. IF IT IS GRITTY THEN I WILL KNOW FOR SURE THIS IS FAKE. I AM FINDING OUT THE HARD WAY MORE AND MORE ON AMAZON THAT THIS IS BECOMING A BIG PROBLEM. I MAY HAVE TO DROP MY PRIME MEMBERSHIP AND JUST GO BACK TO BUYING MY STUFF THE OLD FASHIONED WAY. Ok. I went by the salon today and bought a new 3.7 oz jar of this product. It is without a doubt different. the color is more brown and has a lot of gritty sandy like stuff in it. I also noticed the jar is 3.7 oz vs 3.4 on the jar from amazon. The product from amazon has a grey look to it. The biggest thing I noticed besides the color and grit is the price. I paid $40 dollars for the stuff from amazon and only paid $27 dollars for the real stuff from the salon. I am going to contact the company directly and see if this product has been changed. The stylist at the salon said she did not hear of a product change and everything they have in the salon is the gritty/sandy stuff. My final thought on this issue is weather this product from amazon is real or not, the bottom line is the product is way over priced. find a local salon where you live that carries Kevin Murphy products and buy from them. I am going to try to return this product. Hopefully!!!

My friend brought some of this home from the salon he went to and I immediately had to buy my own after trying it. Some of the best product I've used for styling short to mid-length hair.My hair is usually quite unruly and needs a decent hold strength, gritty business does that without leaving any sheen or affecting the natural feel of my hair too much. A little goes a long way and this is a good sized container of the styling product.I may want to try some of the other KM products, but this is definitely worth the few extra bucks for the quality and effectiveness of the product.

I don't like the way this makes my hair feel. Gritty and dirty may be its aim, and that's surely how my hair feels when I use it. It's also very dulling.

I really like the product, I buy it all the time at the salon. When I saw I could get it for $6 off on amazon, I ordered one. Instead of the perfect gritty putty I'm used to, I received a clumpy old oxidized rock. I decided to give it a try, hoping it would come back to life. The heat from my hands did almost nothing to the consistency. It left white specs in my hair. It didn't have that gritty hold. Simply terrible. I'll suck up the $16 loss and buy a box at the salon. Lesson learned.

My husband has been using this for years. It makes his hair look so great. It creates enough hold in his hair while still being movable. Does not look greasy. It smells great! This one container lasts him a year. Bought it last Christmas, just about time for another one this Christmas. Price definitely went up, but its worth it because it works so well & looks so good in his hair. He has tried other products & says they just make his hair look greasy & they just don't work as well.

I normally get this product through my salon, so imagine my excitement when I saw it on Amazon for cheaper! I LOVE Kevin Murphy products and the price was too good to pass up.The reason for four stars instead of five is that when the product arrived it had a little different texture than when I buy the exact same product from my salon. I think the reason is that the product received from Amazon was probably older and had dried out a little. It still worked but occasionally left some visible product in my hair since as I mentioned it was somewhat dried out. I should have returned it and asked for a replacement but I didn't.SO, highly recommend this product for styling short choppy hairstyles, but if it arrives looking a little dried out send it back and ask for a fresh one. Would be five stars if it had arrived in perfect condition.

Also zunächst möchte ich wieder die schnelle Lieferung von Amazon Prime loben.Habe es am Freitag Nachmittag bestellt und schon samstagmorgens war es bei mir zu Hause.Jetzt aber über mein Erfahrungsbericht mit dem Haarwachs.Meine ersten Erfahrungen mit den Produkten von Kevin Murphy habe ich bei meinem Friseur gemacht.Ich war sehr beeindruckt von dem festen Halt und gleichzeitig von der Geschmeidigkeit meiner Haare.Als ich dann bei Amazon gesehene habe, dass sie auch Kevin Murphy Produkte betreiben, habe ich direkt zugegriffen (ich habe aber gegenüber dem Ladenpreis nur 50 Cent gespart, was aber nicht in meine Bewertung eingeht).Produkte vom Drogeriemarkt kommen für mich fast gar nicht mehr infrage.Das Gritty Business ist jedoch sehr stark, ohne zu verkleben.Ma merkt gar nicht, dass man überhaupt Wachs in den Haaren hat.Auch positiv finde ich, dass Kevin Murphy Produkte aus Naturprodukten besteht, worauf ich auch sehr viel Wert lege.Das einzige Negative, was ich über das Haarwachs sagen kann, ist eigentlich nur der Höhe Preis.Wenn ich aber bedenke, dass auch mit täglichem Gebrauch, das Haarwachs ca. ein halbes Jahr hält, dann finde ich es sogar günstig für so ein gutes Produkt.

This is a genuine, ignore other reviews on here saying it isn't. They updated the product quite recently so it's slightly different that the old gritty business, seems to have a bit more moisture, but it's 100% Kevin Murphy and still one of the best products out there for that textured look.Delivery was exceptionally quick.
