The best thing about it is that it's like wearing an umbrella versus buying a whole new and highly expensive wardrobe just for rain. If it's raining I put it on. If it stops, I take it off. Easy. If it's raining but warm, I can still wear shorts or whatever under it and feel the breeze. Same flexibility for when it's cold.It's heavy enough so that it drapes over my handlebars without flapping around. It doesn't let any rain through but it allows my body to breathe and sweat without feeling like I'm trapped in a plastic sack. I was able to fit it over my sport headphones and under my helmet but it could probably go over my helmet too. The clear visor is actually kind of nice to keep the rain out of my eyes most of the time.What would I have had to get if I'd chosen a rain outfit? Well there's the waterproof jacket, pants, gloves, shoe covers, and helmet cover. If they have any good reviews for biking cost from around $200 to $700 and even on the expensive side I was seeing conflicting reviews on both Amazon and REI. So drop several hundred dollars on an outfit that still might leak in the rain? No thanks. I'm quite happy with my $30 poncho. The day after it arrived, it stormed like crazy, so perfect chance to test it out. Image shows the front flap thingy being MUCH longer than it actually is, so as you can imagine my legs got soaked from the knee down. I did some quick fix where I tied the flap to the center bar of my bike to help SOME, but it didn't do much at all.So, list!PROS:* It's sturdy AF & heavy (so no easy tears and no flying away lol tested it @ 50-60mph winds!)* It kept me utterly dry around the torso* It also kept me pretty dang warm at 7-10c with just a sweaterCONS:* It is definitely not a biking poncho. Shorter/smaller than advertised. Legs got SOAKED and just so you know, I'm below 5"1 so it couldn't even cover my little legs (on a bike).* Head cover too small (no wearing a helmet, so tiny it doesn't fit you well* Awkward to look left/right with the hood up* Impossible to signal left/right if you use it the way it is shown. I had to pull my arms out from the sides, exposing both my arms and some of the torso so some rain* No brighter color options -- which is bizarreOverall, for the money paid, I guess it's fine. I really needed an option that kept my legs dry (as in biking), but that just isn't possible with this one. I did stand in the rain off the bike and it protected me far better than. Over all, I recommend it for walking in the rain, but I don't recommend it for biking.EDIT 1/22/2021Don't get this. Get the "Waterproof Cycling Hiking Rain Poncho Coat for Women Men" sold by SaphiRose Store on Amazon instead.
