We have repurchased this dashi stock base 3 times now! Our household loves it. Adds the right umami flavour and depth to miso soup, and other stews. If your miso soup tastes hollow, this is the thing to add. Super simple to use, especially compared to trying to make your own. Depending on personal preference and amount of salt in the other ingredients, 1 packet is enough for 600mL to 1.5L. As it's a soup stock, don't expect it to taste like a finished soup or bouillon cube on its own.

Amazing umami flavor and worked perfectly for my miso soup! 🍲. I couldn't find this locally so this made the meal happen for sure! Very authentic!

This is a bit pricey but it's hard to find real Dashi with no MSG here in Canada. I use this to make noodle soup and it tastes great! It comes in little tea bags so it's very convenient to use. Just toss it in boiling water or other soup base and it makes the soup really tasty. You can just remove the tea bag afterwards. So far all the dashi's I've seen in the grocery stores here in Ontario have MSG and we don't want that. Love the taste and convenience.

Doesn't add enough flavor

Mostly natural. Check Ingredients, some of them make allergic items.(soybeans, wheat etc.) I don't have any allergic from any food. I'm enjoying this stock packets, Japanese food soup and nimono (stew) base, much much more natural, other powder kind soup base.
