This cargo carrier is amazing. I've been looking for carrier for months and stumbled across this one. It's small than other carriers but its perfect because it's not oversized. The materials are super strong and very well made. I love the fact the it has a self contained key locking hitch pin that no other carrier has that. It also has a built in handle to lower, tilt and raise the basket. You have to pay more to get these options with other carriers. Overall it's a solid, convenient and awesome carrier. I just wish that it has a warning label on the front so people would know what the max weight is. Highly recommend if your looking a cargo carrier

Overall good product, instructions for assembly could be a little better. Also be careful when installing the screws to make sure a good fit before fully tightening. I have used this as a bed rack mounted to a sport bar on my Tacoma and has held up great off-road.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed a narrow basket to go on my roof bars next to a roof top tent and this was the only one I found narrow enough. I've used it as both a hitch and retrofitted it to fit on my roof as well. As a hitch, it was great. For the roof, the pre-drilled holes do not line up with my cross bars (Thule bars on 2021 Subaru Outback) so I had to drill new ones, easy enough with a metal drill bit. I will say mine has started to rust at the corners which isn't great, but since it is the only basket that fits my needs, I will spray paint it and hope for the best.

The tilt mechanism is convenient when you want to open the rear hatch while carrying luggage. The tilt grip is heavy, so it's safe even if you have children with you. The mount tube was too long when it arrived, so I cut it down before using it. When I measured the thickness of the plate, it was 2.6 mm, which feels thin since I also drive on rough roads. (Considering strength, it may have been the right decision to shorten it.) Before use, I applied grease around the receiver to prevent wear. Since I often carry large boxes, I changed from a basket to an angle bar.

Products goes great on a 2021 Trax. I added led light strip, reflectors, and reflective tape. Takes a bit of time to build, as instructions are not too clear (I found it best to not to snug any of the screws down all the way until the very end, so it was easy enough to take screws out as needed). It was one of the few narrow baskets I could find, and a 2” hitch size is a plus. The locking mechanism is easy to use, as long as you watch the product video in the listing. I do recommend it.

Arrived in several tiny parts and took a significant amount of time to assemble. The tilt lever was hard to pull right from the start and then got stuck on the third try. The second time we used it, the pin broke and the whole thing fell off the RV while driving down the road. We only had 120 lbs of cargo in it, so it was not overloaded. I don't know if we got a defective unit or if that is indicative of all of them. I can not recommend this product and I did return it for a refund

We used this to hold a bin and two carry ons when we moved from Pennsylvania to Florida. It worked perfectly. No issues at all. Now we will use it to transport beach accessories! Mike H.
