Can't recommend this highly enough...
My wife recently started using this product, and I can tell you, it's head and shoulders (pun intended) above similar products, assuming you could find any that compare. First off - it doesn't so much *color* your hair as even the color out and make it more uniform. It doesn't leave you with an almost 'fake' look by making the color *too* even - there are still some variations that look perfectly natural to my eyes. It covers grey far better than I expected, making those areas less noticeable. Then there is the smell - anyone who has even been at ground zero for your run-of-the-mill hair color knows that hair colorants smell terrible, and the smell lingers on the hair for days. This product actually has a pleasant smell, more reminiscent of a quality hair conditioner than a colorant. It's amazing to me how little smell there is to this product. Speaking of conditioner - this product also conditions your hair, making it far more soft and manageable than it would otherwise be, particularly given that most colorants dry out and damage your hair with every use. Sure - it washes out over the course of several shampooings. The end result is amazing, and in reality it lasts far longer in your hair than it claims. If you're wanting to even out your hair tones, make your hair brighter, softer and more manageable, and do all this with a single product, this is your best bet at ANY price.

Great results!
I used the 8A ash blonde and got really great results. I have long hair and it took 3/4 jar to get really light coverage. I still think it's cost effective as I would have had to buy multiple jars of another brand to get the same amount. My hair feels very very soft and it's so smooth! Usually I have to flat iron my hair after blow drying because it's so frizzy but I didn't need to after using this. The color isn't really what I would call ash blonde, in person it has a lot of warm reddish orange tones but I still like it and it's 100% better than what I started with! It didn't stain my skin or shower but unfortunately did stain my countertop where I dropped a small amount and took a couple minutes to wipe it off. I was really looking forward to the nice floral scent other reviews mentioned but my hair just smells like the typical after hair dye smell. Overall though I'm happy with it and would definitely use it again.

Save your money
This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown color Scent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally donโt care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scent Packaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls. Value - Iโd say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like Iโll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair. Feel - thick consistency. Nice that itโs not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning mask Caution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately. Color - obviously this will vary by person but hereโs my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). Iโm not a stranger to dark hair. Iโve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. Iโd strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth. Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what youโre looking for. Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully itโs semi permanent so Iโll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

Great staining power, but color is OFF for the brown!
Mixed feelings! I got the 5N color to maintain my dark brown hair. I have previously bleached hair on my ends* and have since been keeping up my dark color with these semi-permanent masks. Pros: - Intense color depositing - Smells great - Hair felt so nice after use Cons: - Brown has a blue-black base/undertone - Bleeds like CRAZY - Stains everything (though this one is understandable) When I first used this, the color looked amazing. A deep espresso with neutral undertones. But when I combed through my hair, I put my comb in a cup of water and the color ran like sharpie green/blue-black. I figured maybe it needs to develop, but nope! My hair is black with a cool undertone. It started out as a dark dark chocolate. Itโs been a few days and my hair is still bleeding the color when other brands like DP Hue and ColorLomo have never behaved this way. I could argue that the XMONDO is just heavily pigmented, but constantly staining everything after initial application is wild to me. I bet the vivid colors are AMAZING since they bleed a lot by nature, but I figured a darker color would have better staying power. My hair isnโt even that damaged to be bleeding this much. Product is not bad but I canโt say itโs going to be my go-to.

Life saver between toning appointments
Iโm personally very happy with this stuff! Iโm reviewing the 8 ash and itโs the only color in this line I can speak on. Based on reviews I read when deciding whether to get this I feel like this needs to be said, It is color depositing so if youโre getting a color that is lighter than whatโs on your head itโs not going to do much if anything. Also, ash colors because of the tone always look darker than the level which is why I went with the 8 instead of the 7. I have a lot of hair, and itโs very thick, currently shoulder length, Iโve gotten about 3 uses out of this if my hair was longer itโd be less so my only complaint is the quantity in the jar but I didnโt take any stars off for that. With all that said, I have very highlighted hair and about a month or so out from a toning appointment but had a trip coming that I really didnโt want golden hair for, I didnโt want to do anything drastic at home just wanted my golden/brassy pieces toned without having to worry about my roots getting accidentally lightened or something. Coming across this I decided to give it a whirl and Iโm happy I did despite some of the iffy reviews. My hair turned a really pretty smokey blonde which is exactly what I was looking for it also left it nice and soft so a win win for me. Iโll also say if you have really damaged hair it will most likely suck up more of the pigments which can sometimes lead to uneven spots, thatโs just my experience with any hair coloring product. But anyways, long review short, this stuff is great and gave me the exact color I was looking for. For me, it lasts through multiple washes, swimming in the pool and ocean. I will definitely be purchasing again and use it in between salon services when my toner starts to fade.

Honest review and comparison agains Overtone Conditioning and Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Pigments.
I have long hair. I am 5'10", and my hair falls below my waist. My hair is quite thick and medium to medium-dark brown with golden undertones. The longer it gets, the lighter it becomes. I am not a fan of warm tones, so I usually dye my hair using cool or ashy shades. I also have white hairs, especially around the edges of my face. When I apply color-depositing masks, I usually leave them on for about 45 minutes to an hour before rinsing. Around 2021, I stopped dyeing my hair with permanent dye, which I used mostly in blue-black or dark ash brown shades. As my hair grew out, there was a significant tone difference between my natural hair and the dyed sections. That is when I started using color-depositing creams. The one that worked best for me was Overtone. It deeply conditioned my hair and was perfect for maintaining a smoother transition between my different hair tones. Once all the permanently dyed hair was gone, I began experimenting with different color-depositing creams. When it comes to the most long-lasting and pigmented option, Lime Crime Unicorn Hair has performed the best. The first shade I used was Chocolate Cherry, and it was honestly bad ass. It was a neutral-cool dark fuchsia, and it lasted quite a while. This dye even covered my white hairs; they turned hot pink, which actually made the look even better. It lasted about a month and a half before my natural tone started coming through. The downside is that it was not very nourishing. It did not damage my hair, but it also did not improve it. After the first application, it felt as if I had washed my hair without applying conditioner. My hair felt dry. Overtone, on the other hand, is very nourishing. It leaves my hair extremely soft and well-conditioned. Brushing my hair is very easy; the brush just glides through without any resistance. It truly works as a deep conditioning mask. The color applies well, but it does not last as long as Lime Crime. In fact, it does not stay highly pigmented for very long. It penetrates the hair fairly well and does tint my white hairs, but the color does not last as long on them. Now we have XMONDO, which falls somewhere between Overtone and Lime Crime. It does not make my hair as dry as Lime Crime, but I also do not find it nourishing. It does not condition my hair; it mainly just maintains it. After rinsing, my hair feels like I applied very little conditioner, and brushing was somewhat difficult. The pigment is definitely there, and I have mixed colors and experimented with them. It colors my white hairs quite well. I have used the Sapphire Blue shade, and my white hairs turned blue, which looked pretty cool. However, it does not last very long and washes out fairly quickly. I would say it lasts about the same amount of time as Overtone, but it does not wash out as quickly as Overtone does on my white hairs. Price-wise, I think it is worth it. Compared to Overtone, I would say you are paying for a similar product without the deep conditioning benefits. It is not as drying as Lime Crime, but it is also not as long-lasting. There is a balance there. XMONDOโs color-depositing masks are very fun to experiment with and blend extremely well. I did a two-tone look where the top part was blue and the bottom was hot pink, and it came out really well. It was very easy to use. The dark brown shade has a purple base, which cools my tone nicely. This is my go-to shade when I want something neutral without anything โfunky,โ per se. The only thing I really do not like about XMONDOโs color-depositing masks is the scent. They are way too strong. I have to apply them while wearing a mask to reduce the smell; otherwise, it gives me a migraine. It is a nice scent, just far too strong. That is the only downside. I give it 4 stars. I think it has potential. For me, if it were as conditioning as Overtone and lighter on the scent, it would be perfect. If it lasted longer, even better. That said, it is one of my favorite masks to use. I would rather use this than Overtone or Lime Crime.

Worked like I hoped
Very pretty color. A little dark at first but fades pretty. I was almost done growing out my color when I started playing with clear gloss. The last one had a stronger developer and lifted my hair to a brassy red. I tried purple shampoo and mask but nothing worked. I didn't want to dye my hair. This mask covered the red, left most of my gray (which I want) and faded nicely without going green or back to super red. Plus it smells nice. The results lasted a long time for me, but I'm just toning.

My first ever Brad Mondo product...
Let me start by saying that I love Brad Mondo. I love watching all of his tutorials, reactions, etc and find them to be both entertaining and educational. I have been so badly wanting to incorporate some of his products into my hair care routine, such as his Forcefield Heat Shield, Hydrify Leave-In Conditioning Mist, Salty Sea Salt Spray, Wavetech Wave Setting Spray and Electric Rain Moisture Cream. I started writing my hair description in paragraphs, and that was way too long so I'm going to bullet point: Hair Type: I have ultra fine hair, it's like baby hair and while that's usually a flex ("Oooh, baby smooth skin!"), I don't feel like it is atleast when it comes to my hair. Hair Length: Down to my derriere. Hair Texture: Ultra curly and super tight wave patterns mixed. Curly Q's everywhere, especially on shorter pieces, and tight waves that end in curly Q's. It's a scary mess when natural. Hair Color: Dark blonde with once-a-year highlights. Moisture: Dry, very dry. Routine: Wash 1x week, lots of heat protectant, blow dry it out with blowout brush, either curling iron for waves or Le Duo into straightish waves. Finish with hair oil. So, finally we get to this product. A month ago, I got my annual highlights but I was lacking shine in my hair shortly after going to the salon. I was pretty bummed out about it for a few weeks and that's when I saw Brad Mondo's Clear Super Gloss treatment! I had the Christmas money to go ahead and splurge a bit on myself and ordered it right away! It arrived, I waited until hair washing day and followed the instructions. I washed my hair well, then dried it using cool/medium heat on low setting because I didn't want to put any product in since it reads "clean, dry hair" on the instructions. Opening the product initially, I thought it had a very subtle and pleasant scent. The texture was like a cream + gel mixture, and it's both silky and sticky. Very weird, but not a negative. Just is. I then got to work sectioning all my hair and completely coating every single strand. I started in my front fringe lengths, then went to the back to work my way back up to the front since my front fringe area was so dull. It took the entire container to coat my lengths. I went up to the roots in the top half of my hair because of the new highlights there. When it comes to value for money, I understand that the product itself costs money to manufacture, and also that MY choice to have extremely long hair IS going to cost ME more money to do things to it. With that in mind, a treatment like this covering my entire head of very long hair at least once is worth it. Most of the time I'd have to buy two of something, or if I ever box dyed my hair (hypothetically speaking, the only coloring or highlighting happening to this hair is from a licensed and insured hair stylist since 2010 when I bleached my own hair into mushy spaghetti) I would need at minimum, three boxes of dye. So, this treatment is worth the money in product coverage. I then used my tangle teezer brush to brush the product through my hair very, very gently and waited the 20 minutes before very thoroughly washing it out. I'm talking at least a 15 minute shower of designated rinsing with my detachable shower head. Remember, ultra fine hair and a lot of it. At first it was very thick to rinse, I had some slight concern but it did eventually rinse out well. This didn't bother me considering it's a glossing treatment - one should expect it to be a thick coating during the treatment process, right? Anyways, afterwards, I blow dried it and styled it into curling iron waves using all of my normal products. I am pleased to say that the visual effects were beneficial, my hair looks shinier than before. It also did not weigh down my hair anymore than it normally does on its own, again the "baby fine" curse that I battle using Sea Salt Spray and Dry Shampoo at my roots through the week. So why the 2 stars for a product that completely coats a massive amount of hair and does what it says it's going to do? Well, unfortunately for me, that subtle pleasant smelling product started smelling like fish and rotten eggs about 15 minutes after sitting on my hair. At first, it was very faint, but I also had my hair in one of my silk caps while it processed. The smell only worsened from that point on, through rinsing and styling. So even though I did achieve what it claims, I can't use this product again. It's been over a day later and my hair still clearly smells like fish and rotten eggs. I'm covering it with other heavily scented products to make it to the next wash day. I can't say with certainty if this foul smell will effect anyone else, though. In general, I already have a hard time just finding body soaps, deodorants, etc that won't make me smell like fish after mixing with my body chemistry. For example, I can use Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom body wash and smell great while Bath and Body Works At the Beach body wash makes me smell like a beached whale. The rotten eggs smell, however, is not a normal bad-mix-reaction scent for me. That's very specific to this product and myself. So bottom line: Product did what it says it's will do, but beware of a very foul odor that may or may not affect you. At least I look pretty if nobody gets too close to me to smell me?

Left a horrible film
Maybe itโs just my hair (fine and not highly processed), but this product left a horrible coating on my hair that made it look like it hadnโt been washed for a month. No shine. I had to wash and wash to get it out.

My new favorite hair dye!
This stuff is AMAZING. Before people go into talking about pricing: Compared to manic panic, this costs roughly double the price. For me personally, I need 2 tubs of manic panic and I only needed 1 tub of this so for me, it basically costs the same amount. HOWEVER, this stuff is not only to dye your hair but it also gives you an amazing hair treatment. My hair feels soft, it's shiny, it smells super good and feels stronger than it was. (I had my hair bleached which made my hair feel very weak.) Before using the product: Be sure to grab some gloves, cover your skin, your floors, your sink, and have some cleaning detergent (preferably bleach) nearby. In terms of the actual coloring: The dye is VERY thick and VERY pigmented. Before you dye your hair, be sure to lighten your hair if it's brown/dark ash though because I've noticed the pigment doesn't pick up as well on my roots. Rinsing out was simple and the results are absolutely beautiful. The shade I used which was deep red gives you the exact shade of a real red rose flower. I'm super impressed and I'm excited to try out other products from XMONDO.

Good results
Only used it once so far but it went on nice and smoothly. Left it on for 20 minutes and when hair was rinsed and dried it felt distinctly softer.
