## Questions & Answers

**Q: Please can I use arduino uno to program this motor and also it need driver or not?**
A: You do not need a driver, all you need to do is provide 12-24 VDC.  I have corresponded with the manufacturer and they recommend 18 VDC.  I plan to use this at about 21.5 VDC (what a typical 24 VDC power supply can be turned down to), in which the manufacturer approved as an upper limit.  To control the servo, you need to provide a PWM signal, which I think is available from an arduino.  The PWM needs to be at 50-400 hz and have a pulse width from 500 usec to 2500 usec.  Sorry for the remedial math here, but .5 to 2.5 milliseconds would be the correct pulse width to make this go from 0 to 360 degrees of rotation.  I have tested this with inexpensive RC servo test devices and it definitely works.  There is 5 VDC available for the signal input, so you could use an open collector output.  If the arduino has a lower voltage, such as 3.33 VDC, I'm not sure if that would work, but the sales data on Amazon supports this.

This servo is accurate and has a great deal of torque.  With 21.5 VDC power applied I was able to get about 67 rpm out of it.

**Q: How many amps does the servo pull at full power and 18V?**
A: no load is 0.34A/18v,  max load is more then 20A/18v,  very powerful

**Q: Are servo arms available for this product?**
A: No but there are some cool examples on how to use this for a quadrupole robot

**Q: Can this motor be used to steer wheel to specific angel? In continues servo mode?**
A: Yes.  The servo has two modes: servo position and motor drive, which is selected by a DIP switch.  In servo mode the shaft rotation can move 0-360 degrees for 0.5 to 2.5 uSec pulse width.  There are gain and offset potentiometers to calibrate the motion over any standard servo range.  There is also a reversing DIP switch to change the sense of the rotation.
