## Description

Our Standard Line One Hander Large cutting board is one of the thinnest and lightest boards we make. Measures 15" x 9-1/2" x 1-1/4" thick and weighs 4.3 lbs. Professional grade and heirloom quality that is easy to move around. Soft rubber feet are attached with stainless steel screws on the bottom of the board to enable easy pick up and prevent slipping. The durable end grain construction provides a smooth, impact-resistant, cutting surface that is kind to knives - making our boards a practical choice for chefs in busy commercial kitchens or for daily use at home. Our Standard Line One Hander Large cutting boards will show more of the natural characteristics of the larch – small knots or natural color variations in the larch wood depending on the minerals found in the soil where the trees grew. Colors can range from pink to green, gray to dark brown. Proudly handmade in Margaree, Nova Scotia, Canada from eastern Canadian larch (Larix laricina). Larch Wood Canada employs a talented group of local craftspeople that specialize in creating beautiful 'end grain' cutting boards.

Review: This cutting board is absolutely gorgeous! The pattern created by the end cut pieces of wood is almost mesmerizing. It is solidly built without a single gap in the pieces. It's rounded on the sides so no sharp edges and comes with rubber feet attached to prevent sliding when in use. But as good as it looks, it performs even better. The size was just right for me. Not too large (15"x9.5"x1.25") but large enough to handle cutting multiple items into their respective piles. The weight/thickness is great too as all you need is one hand to pick it up and slide off your cut up food. The best part is that it is all end cut pieces of larchwood. The larchwood is soft enough to take the cuts without dulling the knife but but also not show any of those cuts on the board. The wood fibers 'heal' back up making any cuts imperceptible. A couple of weeks of use and it still looks like it arrived when new. Make sure to get some wood butter to go with this too. The wood butter keeps the board in top condition and only requires a small amount once a week or so. Takes no more effort than drying it off well. This is a great value top quality board for this price and will last a very long time over plastic, bamboo and other lower quality boards. Well worth it!!

This cutting board is absolutely gorgeous! The pattern created by the end cut pieces of wood is almost mesmerizing. It is solidly built without a single gap in the pieces. It's rounded on the sides so no sharp edges and comes with rubber feet attached to prevent sliding when in use. But as good as it looks, it performs even better. The size was just right for me. Not too large (15"x9.5"x1.25") but large enough to handle cutting multiple items into their respective piles. The weight/thickness is great too as all you need is one hand to pick it up and slide off your cut up food. The best part is that it is all end cut pieces of larchwood. The larchwood is soft enough to take the cuts without dulling the knife but but also not show any of those cuts on the board. The wood fibers 'heal' back up making any cuts imperceptible. A couple of weeks of use and it still looks like it arrived when new. Make sure to get some wood butter to go with this too. The wood butter keeps the board in top condition and only requires a small amount once a week or so. Takes no more effort than drying it off well. This is a great value top quality board for this price and will last a very long time over plastic, bamboo and other lower quality boards. Well worth it!!

Such a beautiful cutting board. I own a handful hand forged Japanese knives and I’ve always wanted a Larchwood as softer end grain helps preserve their edge. My only regret is not buying the bigger model.
