I gave it 5 stars, although I haven't actually used it yet, but this review is for the fact that it does look quality made, especially for the price, & it is wonderfully lightweight & compact. This was important to me because of storage in my campervan. I like that it has a nice cover for the guides & tip, which is very easy to latch & unlatch, that will help protect that end of the rod. After receiving it, I decided to order the micro Zebco reel, as it looks like that size & weight would be a perfect match for this rod. I assume this will be for lightweight pan fishing, but if it doesn't hold up for a long period of time, it's affordable to order another one.

Seems good and strong , very long extended and long handle ! Casts nice distance , action is fair but good for the price

Can’t wait to put it to the test. The rod is very nice and seems of good quality. I probably should have got the next size but this will do for now. It was very affordable it is a good value. It seems like it will do the job for panfish. Let’s go catch some fish!!!

The handling is substandard. Not comfortable although the length is perfect. Each segment does not lock into the other perfectly. The handle is too short. The locking mechanism for the reel is not sturdy and must be tightened over and over.

It's super little so it took us a few minutes to figure it out but we were super impressed with the convenience of it. It's not very durable it seems I was afraid to handle it to much because of its lack of thickness and it's unlikely he'll be able to catch anything worthwhile but I dont know yet we didn't realize the reel wasn't included. Totally on us because after looking more closely it says it isnt included

This is just what I wanted in a fishing rod, compact for carry, extends to a full usable length, very flexible but strong, and best of all, holds whatever reel I want to use. Currently am using a Zebco 33 spincast reel, and when collapsed, fits nicely in my tackle box.The only downside to this rod, is that the handle is a bit on the short side and there is no finger hold for the type of reel I am using, but am sure would work well with just about any type that you prefer.

When I got this item I was skeptical because it was super lightweight (which I know it says it is) but I was worried about it being flimsy and breaking. I was also worried about the length of it cause it was a lot longer than I expected. However I love this fishing rod it is super lightweight and flexible and the length is not a problem at all. I used it for some river fishing where I get snagged alot and this rod was super flexible and did not give me any doubt as I pulled to get the snag free.

The 5-star rating is “for the price.” It could definitely be better, but for the low $$ I think it’s a good value. I ordered the 3-foot version. In retrospect, I should have gotten a longer one. However, it has performed quite well. While float fishing for panfish, I hooked into a small (maybe 2-3 pounds?) carp. Considering how thin and light this rod is, I would think a carp that size would snap the tip. However, I was able to fight and eventually land the fish. I was impressed...and honestly, fighting a fish like that on this puny thing was a lot of fun!

There is no carrying case for the fishing rod as mentioned in the product description.The packaging was also very basic & the rod quality doesn’t seem very good either.
