The material looks durable and quite eye catching. I recently used this to clean my black dress shoes that got scuffed up from a recent trip I took. They brought them back to life as I expected. I had previously been using a kit I got from Walmart and this performed better. The travel case it came with was far better than what the Walmart one came in and this also had more hardware with it. My favorite addition they included was a fold-able shoe horn. I actually took this out of the included case and put it in my proprietary travel bag to ensure I never end up somewhere without it. I have another shoe horn that is much less portable that I will no longer have to bring with me! ### ⭐⭐ You get what you pay for... *by W***C on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2019* The kit was a good starter kit for me, since I've never shined / polished shoes before with the exception of the little pre-conditioned sponges you buy at cheap shoe stores... However, the applicator sponge broke after the first use (see photo). Additionally, the horsehair brush had some minimal shedding, and the buff cloth was too cheap to use properly. The kit looks nice, the polishes worked fine, and the pieces with the exception of the applicator sponge were all usable. Another downfall is that the applicator sponge isn't available for purchase separately on Amazon, so it can't be restocked into the kit. Unfortunately the kit bag was also too small to restock with additional polishes purchased elsewhere. Overall, I'd buy the pieces separately and put in my own bag if I were to do this over again... but the quality of the polishes, the bag itself and the horsehair brush were all usable, if not top notch. ### ⭐ PIECE OF JUNK, imo *by B***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2018* DO NOT BUY THIS. It's truly a joke. The only thing is a neat leather and felt holder, but really--WHAT would you use it for?? The "kit" comes with a very small black and a neutral shoe polish (I used probably 1/3 of it in the first shine), one applicator sponge (which fell a part during the first shoe!), 1 horsehair brush (nice, but it is tiny), one shining cloth, and 1 shoehorn (???). You will be much better to buy full-size of everything.
