Great Product
I must say this is an impressive product. It is a proven fantastic addition to my skincare routine. It arrived much quicker than I expected and the packaging was excellent, ensuring the product stayed safe and secure during transit. Very high-quality experience. I will keep my eye out for more products in the future. Marisa W.

You will Glow
I'm not the best at having a consistent skin care routine. So I've had this stuff last for 1.5 years. In achieving a glowing and dewy appearance, a little goes a long way, especially if you pair this serum with a hydrating toner or hyaluronic acid. I would say after a year, my skin's tone definitely looks less dull and seems to look glowy. I don't think it's that great at removing dark areas. You will need a more specific serum for those issues. however, this is fantastic at giving you a more lively appearance. Also its just a reasonable price with the additional benefits

Does not contain Vitamin C
I tested this product with the idodine test to see if it had any vitamin C in it. It does not.

It’s a must have serum for healthy, youthful and glowing skin! (Sensitive skin here!)
I have used Vitamin C serums on my face for 3 years now. This works wonderfully, just like the others I have tried, which were always the ones with the most glowing reviews on Amazon, and often ‘best selling’ and Amazon Choice products. I really like it! Maybe even a tad better than some of the others I’ve tried with thousands of reviews already. I’m hoping this one will help with pore size over time. This serum features 20% vitamin C which is the PERFECT amount in my opinion. There’s also vitamin E and green tea extract to help aid in your skin effects, for a flawless complexion. It will make your skin more radiant and smoother. Vitamin C serums do brighten the overall complexion. It takes away any dullness you may have, over time. The serum sinks into the skin beautifully. You can easily tell that it penetrates the surface of the skin. It doesn’t leave you all oily. Only until it penetrates. You won’t be left that way long-term. I’m personally very oily as it is, so if it left me oily, I wouldn’t use it. It does sink into the skin and vanished nicely. There’s never been any incident of a ‘greasy pillow’, and I use it not long at all before bedtime. Over time this serum will help balance out your skin tone. It helps with blotchy skin and undesirable skin flaws. They become more subtle and your over-all tone more even, with regular use. I’m still waiting on some pore tightening effects. That I’d pay any amount of money to see. If it has happened, it’s been so minimal I cannot tell. But I still have some hope left to hold on to. I have VERY sensitive skin. It turns red at the drop of a hat, so I use it sparingly. And I definitely move into things like this slowly. (Only because of my skin personally.) I often skip a day in between uses. You may get some flakiness in the beginning, if you also have extremely sensitive skin, but your skin gets used to it, and it truthfully is great for your skin in a whole. Most won’t get that effect at all, as this is very gentle, but I’m insanely sensitive on my epidermis. I use it only before bedtime. I won’t wear it under my makeup. It’s just because I don’t add oil before putting on my makeup. I have enough trouble as it is with that, so once a day or every other evening is my best effect. It doesn’t burn my skin like retinoids do. I have retina for my aging skin. That stuff is VERY tough on my sensitive skin. I just wanted to draw a parallel for those who have tried retinoids, OTC or prescription like mine with also negative results due to sensitive skin, this serum won’t be ANYTHING like that with your vitamin C. Your skin adjusts quickly and should never burn from this product. I also use it on my neck and chest. I use a little by the eyes for fine lines. I swear I do see a subtle but noticeable difference in those. This product goes on smoothly. It coats and then penetrates the skin. It feels light and gentle. It helps your skin lock in its own natural moisture, which is important for even the oiliest of skin types, rather than always stripping oily skin from locking in the moisture that it truly needs. Who knew? I didn’t use to! I used to strip the moisture and thought that was best for oily skin. I was SO wrong. I notice no irritation to my sensitive skin. Could be because I’ve used it for awhile now, but it should NOT ever burn, as stated above, and should also be fine for your own sensitive skin. The effects WILL show, and you WILL glow! Skincare products will always take a little bit of adjustment time for your skin and also time to see the effects, but this product is as great as the vitamin C serums before it, and I really like this formula and will purchase more in the future! Vitamin C products are very popular for good reason! Try this one, and I know you will like it. You have nothing to lose but a dull and uneven complexion! You may also see a tightening effect in your pores. Mine are just so large from poor facial hygiene as a teen and young adult. Sleeping in make-up, using harsh products, tanning booths, etc. working on reversing it all though! This is part of that process for me. Definitely a must add to your medicine cabinet, to put along your other favorite skin care products! I’ll use this for my lifetime to help reverse the negatives I have done to my own skin, and to keep my skin looking younger and more taut as the years go by. Vitamin C, E, B Ferulic Acid- paraben free. All a great combination of ingredients for your skin, and being paraben free is important to me! I DO recommend this product!

Every time I find a Vitamin C that's done right at a GREAT PRICE I get excited!!
Not only do I get excited that they're done right, it seems like I always end up writing a huge essay on Vitamin C itself instead of a review. So I'll try not to do that here, although there will be a little bit about why this is done the right way. Tons of Vitamin C is out there from tons of different brands. The thing is, unless it's done right, you're basically just doing nothing more than slapping water on your face, no matter how much you've paid for it. This Vit C from Tropical Holistic states right on the label the TWO most important things you need to have in order for Vit C to WORK on your skin. It has to contain not only Vit C, but it also has to contain Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. Both of those work in conjunction with the Vit C to help it penetrate the skin deep enough to work on the activating the cellular structures you're trying to target and they help slow down the oxygenation/degradation of the Vitamin C itself. There are several forms of Vitamin C you can use in skin care, but I think the best one is L-ascorbic acid, which is what this contains. It does have a few drawbacks, which are that it oxidizes and as it does so it becomes less effective. The Vit. E & Ferulic Acid help slow that process down somewhat, but it still happens. Vit C serums should be light yellow or clear when you get them. If they are a dark yellow/orange color they are very oxidized and thus, less effective. This comes in a dropper form, which isn't my favorite way to store and dispense Vit C. An airless pump dispenser would make more sense since it would cut down on the oxidation process. This came to me completely clear, which is what you want to see when you first receive it (even a very light yellow is okay). It really doesn't have a scent, or at least not one you would expect it to. I've heard it described as smelling like the water you boiled hotdogs in.....which is actually pretty close, lol. I store mine in the refrigerator between uses to help slow down oxidation and prolong the shelf life. This contains 20% Vit C, which may be something you have to acclimate your skin to if you have sensitive skin. It's worth the effort to do it because it is something your skin needs for cellular regeneration and collagen building as you age. Vitamin C is not something you're going to see make a huge difference in your skin immediately (aside from some brightening effects as it helps sloughs off old skin) but it is something you will notice the effects of over time. And this formula is done incredibly well and at a TRULY affordable price. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Works just as well as more expensive brands
I’ve been using different brands of 20% vitamin C serum, and been amazed at the great results. Those brands are sold in 1-ounce bottles for almost the same price as this two-ounce bottle. I decided to try this brand for a change. It seems to work just as well, and is significantly cheaper per ounce. There are a few differences. It’s more liquid and runny than some other brands, less thick and syrupy. This bottle has a pump top, which took some getting used to, since I was used to a dropper. I can’t carefully apply individual drops to my face with this. I pump one pump into my hand, and then smear it all over my face, neck, and chest. One pump is enough for this, since it’s applied so thinly. I apply it after I shower, so the humidity in the bathroom gives me a chance to spread it around before it dries out. It goes on easily, looking invisible and matte, not shiny, seeming to completely disappear. It’s not at all greasy. It has no smell. It seems almost like plain water, but it feels a little silkier than water. I was skeptical that something that looks, feels, and smells like nothing could do anything, but it really works. My dark spots are noticeably less noticeable. The dark circles under my eyes are lightening. I’m regaining the rosy blush in my cheeks that I haven’t seen since my twenties. It’s had no side effects, it just does exactly what it’s supposed to. I was concerned that these serums would just lighten my skin overall, but no, they’re lightening my dark spots much more than the rest of my skin, so my skin has a much more even color overall. I think they’re also lightening my skin a little. Previously, even not counting the dark spots, my face had been darker than the skin on the rest of my body, because it’s more tanned. These serums seem to be erasing my tan and the rest of my sun damage, so my face is turning the same shade as my skin that’s usually protected by clothes, and looking much smoother and more even, just like my more protected skin. I thought this was supposed to be impossible, since sun damage is supposed to be permanent. It’s no excuse to stop using sunscreen, but it’s nice to know that at least the appearance of sun damage can be reversed.
