My sealer doz not lock, i have  to hold it down in order to seal it

At first I thought mine didn't lock as well. With some trepidation I pushed down really hard on both front corners and both sides clicked. I was very surprised at how much force it took. Once I figured that out it has worked perfectly.

Question 2

Does this vacuum sealer work as well as the FoodSaver ones? Because this is considerably lower in price.

I spent so much time researching all of the compact sealing units and was surprised to see that although a Foodsaver (models were not generally mentioned) had a largely positive audience based on a history of satisfied users and past reputation, there has been quite an uptick in '1' star ratings during the holidays and continuing through today's date. of 1/5/23. There's a sharp decline in the satisfaction factor among people who replaced an older Foodsaver model and appear to be have been very disappointed with the model that is currently manufactured.

There was some dissatisfaction with the performance of the Geryon model as well, but there were also a number of 5 star comments on the manufacturers response time and willingness to replace the product at no cost to the customer. I went with Geryon for that reason, we shall see...

Question 3

I can’t get anything to seal correctly. How far do I place bag in chamber?

Open the lid and place the open end of the bag down into the middle of  vacuum chamber.
Press both sides of the lid until hear two lock-up sounds.

how many bags can you seal before it needs a break from becoming too hot?

I have been vacuum sealing bags for 8 years before my sealer lock down clamp broke. I used this one for about an hour and tried about 16 vacs and seals. I returned it immediately.
