The sound quality is almost on a par with my main system, an AT-LP140XP with VM95E, and will be improved once I install the LE stylus for the Sound Burger's AT3600 cartridge. The 33 1/3 speed was a bit high, but it was easy to adjust. The tracking weight was 3.2, grams, exactly right for the included stylus, and tracking weight CAN be adjusted with a screw at the base of the tonearm. Although the arm has a counterweight, it is not perfectly balanced laterally, so the deck should be used on a level surface. Besides working well with my system via the line out, it also connected directly via Bluetooth with my Amazon Echo Studio, making a great portable system,. It also connected to my JBL Bluetooth headphones and to a JBL Extreme 4, for a perfect battery-operated portable record player. At the sale price, this system is superior to a similar-priced Crosley box. Speaking as a technician and 78 collector, after looking at the diagram, the sound burger COULD be modified to play 78s, with the stock AT3600 78rpm stylus, but the layout will probably make the mod physically difficult to do.
