I'm so excited about the install we just did in our garage thanks to this swing hanger. It took a bit of organizing and planning to decide where we could put up our swing, but that's on us. My husband ended up installing a 4x4 in our garage between the rafters to screw this hanger into. I was very impressed by some of the nice touches they added to this product to make installation easier. There is a sticker that perfectly matches the hanger so you know exactly where to drill the pilot holes. And if that wasn't awesome enough, they also added a drill bit so you won't have to wonder which size to use. The only tools my husband needed was his electric drill and a socket wrench. It feels very sturdy! It rotates very well and feels solid. We are going to lower the swing a little and add some padding to make it a bit more safe, pictured is just the initial install. We brought the kids out tonight and they were so excited!! There's not a lot of room for swinging in our garage, so being able to spin is a huge plus. Our swing was going to be in storage until we could build a playground, so finding this swing hanger was a wonderful find. Our kids' world just became a little bit more magical and I'm grateful. Ultimately, we are going to install a Yoga swing in our tall playroom, and I'll be coming back to this product to hang it.

I ordered this 360 degree swing hanger from Yyiwhmy because I love getting suspension gear from random vendors with no history. This hanger is designed to support a hammock chair or other hanging chair. The solid stainless chassis has a triangular base and is held in place with three lag bolts (included). The body contains an integral bearing that supports a rotating shaft to which a shackle has been bolted. The shackle uses nylon bushings as a bearing to allow it to swing freely under load. Only one of the nuts is a locking nut; the other is held in place by tension with the shackle. The framing of my ceiling is such that the triangular mount is perfect for where I need to place the anchor. Other types of anchors can work, but not nearly as well. Because I'm curious I opened the back of the anchor so you don't have to. The shaft is held in place by a steel nut that has been welded in place. The nut and shaft rotate independently of the green bearing race when there's no load but they rotate together under load. Some say this type of anchor can be noisy but the one I received turns freely in both directions. I've not put significant weight on the anchor yet but I have tried it under moderate load. The bearing race makes a little sound but I don't hear any of the loud clicking or other noises others have reported with similar products. I can't speak to the actual weight bearing capacity or longevity, but it certainly looks strong enough. Only time will tell whether the shackle nuts will come loose, however.
