Dulux 500001 Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen Emulsion Paint for Walls and Ceilings, Frosted Steel, 2. 5 litres

Used this one tin to paint 2 bathrooms. Colour looks good and the finish looks proffesional. Dries very quickly as well which was useful having kids around the place. I thought this was good value for money as it would of cost a lot more in B&Q.

Really good quality paint, our bathroom doesn't have much untiled wall, so used 2 coats and still have half tub left. Nice and thick paint (some we've bought in past from other sellers/brands were too watery) but this is great thickness, easy to open and close, colour looks great (just like picture), it says 6 hours to dry on tin, but it dried in 3 for us.. would buy again.

First of all, be very aware the shade “timeless” is a bit whiter in person than may appear on pics here and on the sample sticker on the tin. It looked closer to ivory in the pictures I saw but in person it was more of a white/cream shade (less yellow undertone but not quite white). That being said it looked fantastic up and is very bright and warm and reflects both sunlight and bathroom lighting lovely. Glad I chose this shade as it freshened up the bathroom immensely. Unfortunately I had to do FOUR coats with this in my tiny bathroom (which had a aqua green wall). My bathroom literally has NO full walls, is mostly tiled and panelled. Somehow with this little amount of wall I burned through nearly 2 litres of this paint because the coverage was very poor - my largest wall space in the bathroom is probably six foot wide and four and a half foot high at the most and it took nearly half the tin to cover. It was streaky and thin and when used with a roller it was almost non existent on the wall (very sheer, like a thin white wash). If I had used a roller for the entire project (instead of switching to brush like I did) it’d have taken a week and twenty coats - that’s how poor the coverage was. It took me three days to paint a tiny bathroom because of waiting for drying and more coats, and a week later I’m still seeing wee patches of green showing through areas and having to touch up (especially near corners). I’ve attached a picture which shows the patchiness of a few coats. I honestly don’t know how a paint can be so thick and creamy but have such poor coverage. The reason I ordered this brand is because it was one of the best but it gave me far more work than it should have. The overall look is what I wanted but it took far too long to achieve it for what little space there was to cover. If you have a bright coloured wall, probably go for something else or buy a very dense white primer (but that’d mean doubling your project costs and still having to put up to double or triple the work in). Disappointed in how it performed but I like the overall effect. It’s just a pity it was so sheer. I will commend it on being almost odourless - hardly any smell and not fumey at all, so it didn’t affect my asthma or my mothers COPD.

Bonjour, J'ai achete cette peinture de salle de bain pour raffraichir les vieux carreaux de ma salle de bain, je voulais eviter d'avoir a les remplacer et je pensais que cette colle pourrait etre une bonne alternative. Mais honetement, elle ne tient pas du tout. Je l'ai appliquer sur les carreaux et j'ai laisse reposer 24h et a peine ai-je passer la serpillere le lendemain que la peinture s'enlevait. Achat inutile au final !!!!!!!!!!
