Gtechniq Auto G1 ClearVision Smart Glass for Cars, 15ml

"This stuff is absolutely fantastic. As someone who can no longer drive without some kind of ceramic coating on the windscreen, I took the plunge to buy it and apply it myself, it was easy. I felt nervous, but I gave myself plenty of time and followed the instructions, and it came out fantastic. When you're driving at more than 45–50 mph, you have no need for wipers—the water beads off instantaneously. Even during normal around the town driving your windscreen remains crystal clear with the incredible beading capability. Used it on the mirrors and windows too.

This is easy to apply, works similar to rainex, cant review longevity yet however its been on a month+ and its still the same as the day it. Get a very tiny amount of wiper judder in mild rain but its next to nothing, its not enough to bother me thats for sure. *Update* the product lasts about 9 months, i applied in August 2024 and come Apr/May it was starting to fade, the vehicle does about 5k a year so not high mileage. It was applied after using cerium oxide to polish the glass, clay bar then Iso alc to clean any residue so i dont believe any other type of application procedure would increase longevity.

This is NOT cheap, but it’s worth both the price and the effort to apply properly. Use it on all our car windscreens and wouldn’t be without it.

It lasted about 3 months, just under 5,000 miles and 3 car washes (hand wash but with jet sprayer and foam). When it was first applied, it was quite good, to see a real benefit the car has to be doing at least 50mph. The application is really awkward and is done in 3 steps, and you have wait after each one. I didn't mind it as the product was advertised as something that would last a year but 3 months is too short for me. I have cleaned and polished the glass with recommended products, I gave it time to set and followed all instructions, still the outcome was only 3 months. The bottle is really stingy, 15ml is barely enough to cover front and back. Personally, I will try a product which has easier application in the future.

In my opinion the product itself is great but there is one flaw that comes with it. There is lots of wiper juddernes after 4 ish weeks. I tried to re apply the product on the wipers the juddernes gone away for 1 day and came back. The product performs great on the highway and helps alot at night when driving in the rain. Also keeps your windscreen clean and it's easy to clean of. In conclusion I would reccomend the product but I would be aware of the wiper juddering as it can get annoying

i use this on all our families cars. A 15ml bottle goes a long way. it does recommend to do the windshield thrice but i do 2 coatings on the windshield and 1 coat on all other windows. It lasts up to a year but provides great waterproofing for about 9-10 months before it dwindles down. It makes driving on rainy days that much safer. When applying i use autoglym glass polish to clean the glass first and then apply. The residue is a little tricky to remove and 15ml of the residue remover is not enough. you will have to buff with quite a lot of strength to remove but the results are well worth it. I recommend it to everyone.

You need to follow the instructions to clean and polish the windscreen and side windows before applying the product, but it is worth it. On the motorway rain instantly dissipates off the windscreen, often without the wipers being required and the side windows are staying cleaner for longer. The reviews I read before purchase on various car portals, suggest that further re-treatment may not be required for many miles. Took me around an hour in total for the whole car, but it is time well spent.

This is awful. If you have a small car 15ml might cut it but any large panel glass or large windscreens on bigger suv 15ml doesnt cut it. It is awful to apply, the initial serum is ok but you have to leave it a bit to cure and then you have to apply residue remover. I would never apply this stuff again, ill rather have 2 months use out of soft99 glaco than have to reapply this. Trying to get the product off was the hardest and just left constant streaks everywhere.

At first I was not impressed. It took a considerable amount of work to apply. And it rained within days of applying, and unless I was going 50+ mph it did not work very well. Well, wait a week or two and it cured fully? Or it polished? I don't know, but wow! It's been over a month now and this stuff works great. Hardly need wipers at all. Very impressed! Hopefully it lasts the 6 months or so that they state it does.

Rain X is still champ in this field for cost to performance ratio, but I'd say Gtechniq is worth the price. I clay barred the exterior of my car windows, applied as directed, and I was very pleased with the performance. After windows got wet (even from washing), I was able to dry them off with compressed air. When driving, rain rolls off starting at about 25+ MPH (clean windows.) Obviously, if you can refrain from using wipers on the windshield, product will last longer there. Otherwise, windshield needs re-applied over time when side and rear windows are still going strong. Product lasts as long as Rain X, but I find it to be slightly more hydrophobic when properly applied.
