Great Battery - lasted longer than expected.
Bought this for my 1982 BMW R65LS motorcycle. Replaced the WestCo that was in the bike... from 2019 (yes, 7 years). Was amazed the battery lasted that long. Good battery.

Powerful Battery
The battery in my BMW was old. I ordered this one to replace it. Installed it and it cranks like crazy. Very strong battery. It should work well and last a long time. I did charge it after receiving it. Its important to do that because they ship them with only a partial charge.

Great Product and Support
I’ve owned two of these WestCo 12V20P batteries for my 2004 R1150 GS, and I heartily endorse them for this application. They are exactly the right size and post configuration. The case is sturdy and I’ve never had any corrosion issues. They cost less than half what a BMW battery does from the dealership. I also appreciate MK Battery’s prompt shipping and customer support. They bent over backwards to get me a replacement at the end of my warranty.

rough installation on a BMW K1200LT
I only just installed this battery. So, I can't comment on how long it will last. My last battery was a Lithium Ion that I expected to last me (4) or (5) years. It lasted (7) months. I had not tried this battery before. I should have noticed that it does NOT have screw down posts. It has upright posts with a hole through it. They give you a couple small bolts with nuts. I spent 30 aggravating minutes trying to install this battery. I had to bend the contacts on the end of my wires. It didn't leave much room to thread a nut. Of course I dropped a nut. I completely vanished. If that wasn't all thrilling enough, consider that when you go to make the second contact point you are working on a FULLY CHARGED battery. The extra 30 bucks I would have spent on a battery with screw-down posts would have been worth it. I'm being kind with (4) stars as I'm holding out hope that this battery will, at least, last me a couple years or more. If it doesn't, I'll be back to update this with what I'm feeling right now: (2) stars.

Hope This Battery Lasts as Long as the Last Westco
I bought the same Westco battery that has been in service for over 4 years in my 2000 BMW R1150 GS. That is a pretty good run for a motorcycle battery, so hopefully, this one will give the same service as my previous Westco. These batteries have enough amp/hours and CCA to manage the fault check on the ABS unit at start-up. This can be a common problem with lesser quality batteries. So far, so good.

It looked old
The negative terminal had considerable corrosion. The positive terminal had a bit of corrosion. I cleaned both before installing. I guess I’ll find out how long it lasts before declaring myself unsatisfied, but I’ve purchased several Westport batteries in the past. None of them looked like they’d been sitting around for a couple years.
