Nail and head bend easily when used on hard wood.
I struggled with how to rate these. For my own purposes, they were a 1. I was reupholstering an office chair. The backrest Upholstry is fixed to the wood frame with Upholstry tacks and they were also 3/4" nails so I chose these for the length. It was extremely frustrating to try to line them up and space them evenly because both the nail and the head bent easily. I tried various techniques to guide them in straight without success. I would not buy them again and I decided not to reuphoster the other side of the backrest and leave it with the original material because of these tacks. Thank goodness the colors look ok together. I also think I'll be skipping putting a decorative line of tacks around the seat cushion because I am so annoyed with their lack of strength. On the positive side, I can say that they are uniform in color and the heads did not scratch easily - but this small favor does not at all justify the price to me. If you need to hammer Upholstry nails into hard wood, do not buy these.

Great furniture repair nails with tack looking heads
Went right into the hardwood chair I was trying to fix. I used these all the way around the skirt that was falling off a beautiful antique chair that was my grandmothers. They fixed it when nothing else would work. Looks great, back to being a beautiful piece of furniture. It was worthless with a falling down skirt on the chair. Now it looks like the beautiful chair it once was. I used a real hammer, started with rubber mallet trying not to damage the pretty brass heads. But the rubber mallet made them go in crooked, so I switch to the hammer that worked beautifully and did not damage the heads. Great quality. Thank you

A flat head would have been better
It would have been easier to nail in if the head was flat. It was hard to balance the couch on its side and hold the material and pound the nail in. It took three people to do the job but we did it and it looks much better.

Light Duty Shank!
Sorry to say these are CHEAP! Look nice for the project I am doing on my boat, but the shank on these will bend when tapping them into 1/2 plywood. They would be fine for drywall perhaps or other soft materials. Pilot holes are out of the question due to the project i'm doing. I used both a plastic headed light hammer and tried pressing them in with a upholstery clamp (which I've used in the past) but the shanks bend regardless of what I used. Looking for something this size and color, if anyone has better luck with a different manufacture let me know.

a little pricey
Very nice tacks, but wish that I shopped around a bit more since I could have purchased these same tacks elsewhere for about half as much.

Great price on bulk
Haven't used them yet, but they appear to be well made and can't beat the price. Had initally looked to buy from home store but price to 20 tacks was as much as the 100 pack! Since I needed 250, this was definitely the way to go.

Four Stars
strong and did exactly what I needed them for.

Used for curtain pullbacks
The only tacks we could find that we're sufficiently long to penetrate a folded curtain. Very successful and unobtrusive. Now we have quite a few in reserve.
