Crastan - Orzo Pupo Solubile [Instant Italian Barley], (1)- 7 oz. Jar

I learned about this stuff from a pregnancy website on coffee substitutes. The website specifically called out this brand (there are different instant barley beverages on here) so I figured I would try it! I had never heard of this stuff in my life, and didn't know what to expect, but the reviews seem good so why not? And the reviews are right it is so so good! It's similar in taste to instant coffee, but also not really, I say it's so much better. Almost mocha like? Great flavor! I am a coffee lover, and this stuff does a great job of replacing the morning cup I need. I add 3 tsp Orzo Pupo to a mug poor just enough hot water from a tea kettle to cover it and mix really well, then I add more water to my taste. Then enjoy or add creamer and sugar like you would to regular coffee. I used regular old half and half and botcha sweet sugar substitute and I LOVE IT. No stomach issues or anything. The Italians know what they are doing!!!

My family has fallen in love with this stuff. It gives a wonderful caffeine-free alternative, which is great for those of us who don't or can't take after-2:00 coffee or tea. It has a pleasant, rich taste, dissolves instantly in hot water, and responds well to a little sugar, a little honey, a little cream, or a little of almost anything else you might try (spouse likes it with cinnamon.) A few comments here mention a bloated feeling from this product. We've found that if you take the time to enjoy the drink, and not gulp it down, there are no such effects. It's too good to gulp down anyway, so relax and enjoy the experience! This drink goes well with good conversation...

I have already gone through several cups of this delicious beverage as I write this review. I am a native Italian living in the US and this kind of "coffee" is hard if not impossible to find in my area, if not everywhere. I grew up sipping this brew, either mixed with a cup of hot water or milk. The taste is there, the quality too. I am highly satisfied. The glass jar it comes in is pretty big and 200 gr. of this powder will go a long way! The price I paid for it was absolutely fair and worth it!

I liked the taste much more than chicory which is a usual replacement option where I am from (Russia). However, I think it is overpriced.

I really love this Barley Coffee. I am Italian living in the US and I was looking for an alternative to coffee. I found Orzo Pupo and I am very satisfied with the flavor, it tastes like the ones sold in Italy and being made in Italy I understand the cost, even if it is a little high.

My daughter bought this for me for Mother’s Day and we love it. I just bought a jar for my brother. It has a great flavor and the jar is a great value. I enjoy it at night because it’s caffeine free and any time of the day. Very soothing drink. Experiment with different types of milk.

Everyone compares coffee substitutes to coffee. Incredible, huh? I've been using them for years now, various roasted grain beverages, roasted figs, chicory, probably a few that I'm forgetting. While they taste pleasant they just don't taste like coffee. OK, now that brings me to this product. It smells like coffee in the mug, and it tastes like coffee. I think I'd need to have coffee and this side by side to detect a difference. It's really good! If you want a coffee substitute that tastes like coffee I think your search ends with this product. There is one way to make ordering this better and that's to allow subscriptions. (hint, hint!)

L'orzo è in un barattolo di vetro, il peso è di 200 grammi, si scioglie bene sia nell'acqua che nel latte, io lo uso al posto del caffe, in mezzo bicchiere di acqua calda metto 2 cucchiaini di orzo, mescolo, ed è subito pronto, anche il gusto è buono

Volevo provare questa marca , e sono rimasto veramente soddisfatto il prodotto aromaticamente molto buono sono soddisfatto dell'acquisto sicuramente lo prendero ' di nuovo consigliato.

Ottimo orzo solubile a prezzo imbattibile utile da bere da solo o con latte e cacao. Comodo e sano il barattolo in vetro.
