Very easy to use, we bought two giant kites and I couldn’t imagine not having these to help reel them in! Seems very durable only used them once so far but seem like great quality.

This thing proved itself quite capable, even in challenging conditions! The build quality feels pretty strong, which was reassuring, especially when facing high winds at 1000ft elevation. I was particularly grateful the line came knotted at the end, preventing my kite from running away – a crucial detail when the wind picked up unexpectedly. My main suggestion for improvement would be a way to anchor the line to the hub in the middle. After fully letting the line out, I experienced some line slippage, making it a beast to start winding the string back in. Also, the bearings in the reel felt a bit stiff and provided some resistance after just the first use and reeling it in. I'll monitor them and consider lubrication if needed, but overall, a cool little tool that handled the elements well.

This kite winder changed the way I fly. It is a whole lot easier to let line out and to reel it in. Keep in mine that the supply line might not be sufficient for your kite so double check your kite instructions. I have large hands and 8.7 inch reel is ok for my hands. The 8 inch or smaller winder squeeze my fingers making it difficult to reel in the line. Also remember that the company that put the line on had a machine do it, which means your line will twist on you once you let out some line. I came across this with my daughters 8 inch reel. I unfortunately took all the line out so I can take out all the twisting in the line. Overall good winder for the money can't complain. Enjoy this product if you choose to buy it.

I pair this to my kite and it made the whole difference. It made me feel like a kid again while feeling like a fisherwoman. The line never got tangled while pairing this with my kite. But the bad thing is, once the kite is high up. It’s a really great workout to bring it back down. I highly recommend it.

Like the kite wheel winder. String that comes with it is garbage. Broke almost immediately. If you buy this I recommend replacing the string before using

Very good quality reel, the bearings are smooth and helps to crank the kite in fast, the hook clasp makes attaching it to the kite quick and easy, this one came with 1000ft of line and is more than enough to put a larger kite high up.

I really wanted to like this kite reel, but it tangled from the moment we started to use it. We ended up putting the old string back on. Unfortunately I bought this reel awhile ago before we got to use it. So I’m stuck with it!!!

It is def a game changer. Like most reviewers stated, you should be very careful of your fingers/ hands. And it does get tangled somehow. I still couldn't tell you how it tangled. It was winding and unwinding perfectly one minute and a hot mess in the next.I fixed it tho. I'm still happy with my purchase for the most part
