Heliocare Supplement with Polypodium Leucotomos Extract 240mg, 60 Capsules

My dermatologist told me about this after I admitted to him that I really struggle with daily sunscreen and we had a discussion about how important sun exposure is to overall health. Full disclosure - I do not wear sunscreen daily. I rely on measured sun exposure and covering up. I reserve sunscreen for beach days or other times I know I will be out in the sun a lot without the ability to move into the shade or cover up. However I am a Fitzgerald skin type II, so I am still pretty sensitive to burns and I've had several bad burns over my life. I've been taking this for about a year and my skin not only looks better, but it seems to be more resilient to the sun. Recently I was in a situation where I was outside on a cloudy day for a long time without any form of sun protection (poor planning on my part). That evening, my face was very red and hot and I thought "oh boy, I am in for a bad burn." I took an extra pill that night. By the next day, the redness was greatly reduced and the hot feeling was gone. By the third day, my skin showed no sign of sunburn at all. AT ALL. In the past I would be red/in pain for days and peeling for a week, but none of that happened. I attribute it 100% to ongoing regular use of this supplement. I recommend it to everyone.

In the summer of 2025 I developed an extreme sensitivity to most facial products and to sunlight, possibly as a result of a laser procedure. I had to stay out of the sun as much as possible, wear hats, and reapply sunscreen very frequently. I ended up at urgent care twice and was treated with steroid injection and oral steroids. It was bad enough that tested me for inflammatory diseases. About a month ago, I ran across an ad for Heliocare which I had actually heard of years before but had no need for at the time. I decided to give it a try and I do think it has made a marked improvement in my sun sensitivity, along with a once or twice daily application of a barrier repair lotion. I stick with the few basic skin care products that work for me and don't deviate from that routine. I tend to get stomach upset from supplements easily but have no problem with the Heliocare. I take one capsule a day.

Product is excellent! I've had chest/skin/itching/blisters from being in the heat/sun for many years. 2 years ago, it started spreading to my lower neck and upper arms as well. My dermatologist recommended I take these whenever I'm going to be in the sun. Don't need to take every day. Just when I know I'll be in the heat/sun. Not one blister since!!!!!! Only reason not a 5 is, the box it came in was all crushed (didn't effect the plastic bottle ). Not delivery company fault. It was packed inside Amazon box with other orders.

Subtle Results, But They’re Real I’ve been taking Heliocare consistently for a couple of weeks, and while I wasn’t expecting dramatic changes this quickly, I’m genuinely noticing that some of the sun damage on my legs appears slightly lighter. The improvement is subtle, but enough that I’ve noticed it without trying to convince myself it’s there. I’m realistic about what a supplement can do, and I know it’s not a replacement for sunscreen or professional treatments, but I’m happy with the progress so far. I’ll definitely keep taking it and am excited to see what longer-term use brings.
