Is this a genuine Heliocare product? The main ingredient "polypodium" is mispelled as plyodium.

I don't know as I threw out my bottle. I believe that my skin was getting more freckles or pigment. My doctor gave me samples which said that Heliocare is available at CVS. I don't know if the one Amazon carries is the same or not. I hope this helps.

does it prevent tanning?

No. You can still tan with this product, but it will take longer than if you were going out into the sun completely unprotected.

I have used tbe Heliocare in the 30 capsule bottle and have noticed that the Heliocare 60 capules bottle the capsules look different in color. Why?

I have no idea. I just had the 60 capsule bottle. Sometimes color differences are due to different doses in the pills.
