The chat link cable is trash and breaks. You will also need a male to male plug and a 2nd Y split cable that separates the mic from the headphone and then plug the headset ysplit into the Elgato and leave the mic ysplit unplugged. ### ⭐ Don't get this one for gaming! *by T***P on December 26, 2018* I bought it so I could *theoretically* use my non-USB gaming headset on my laptop, which only has a single 3.5mm headphone port. Does. Not. Work. At least not so far as I can figure it out. I'll update if I manage to figure it out, but for now, I'm leaving a one-star review with the intention of sending it back. I can plug in both mic and headphone connectors to hear sound, but the quality is absolute shit and the only sound my mic produces is feedback noise. I can BARELY hear anything with all volume settings jacked all the way up. I tried swapping the connectors, same thing. If I take out the mic connector, the sound is a slightly crappier version of the nice sound I usually get from my headset. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality.
