This is very sturdy and also good looking at the same time. It was so simple to put together. I like others do not like that they left the drawer stop unpainted and that the silver screw heads are visible after assembly ($1 worth of same color plugs could have covered the heads and hid them)The bed is very light once assembled and even with recommended mattress on it. so you can't lean against it or it will slide.If you are over 5'9 this bed may be a little short for you because of the head and toe board design (they come up a couple inches above the mattress)it is not made for abuse and though it says 400 lb capacity I would be a little leery of 400 lbs moving around on it.
