Review: Big dual 4k display enhances my productivity - Wow, what a nice dual-screen (dual-panel) monitor!! It has two 4K high-quality screens separated by about an inch of bezels. You can place the entire monitor "vertically" with the two screens in landscape orientation and stacked top and bottom for a total resolution of 3840w by 4320h, see my photo below and the product photos; or "horizontally" with them in portrait orientation side-by-side for a max resolution of 4320w by 3840h. In my photo this dual 4K monitor is on the left; the right unit is an older InnoView dual 18.5" 1080p monitor, same brand. At the native (dual) 4K resolution the text will likely be tiny, so I set my Mac to display at 2560 by 2880 in what InnoView calls "splice" mode, i.e., the two panels are detected as one single display by my Mac. The two other modes are mirror (the two panels display the exact same screen from your computer) and extended, whereby the two panels show independent screens. There's a legal paper sheet with instructions that try to explain all these, but I can't say they're well written or easily comprehensible by the average user! Luckily, at least if you work with Macs, the setup is pretty simple. Just remember the top button on the right side when in landscape orientation, is used to turn the "splice mode" (confusingly, called fill mode on the monitor itself) on or off. In my photo, splice mode is on, so the two panels are treated as a single display screen by my Mac. One deficiency with the 23.8" InnoView model is it only goes up to 60Hz in refresh rate, whereas my older dual 18.5" model can go up to 100Hz which is what I use. One more minor thing is this "portable" monitor does not have a battery inside so you'll need to power it from the included adapter or from a powered C port on your computer. Overall, this is an excellent display for those needing tons of real estate space on their computer display! I don't play games so the 60Hz refresh rate is fine by me, and I'm quite happy with the screen quality, brightness, and size. It can be driven through a C port, HDMI, or DP.
Review: Excellent portable monitor for Mac users – InnoView INVPM407 (IPS) 16” 2.5K 120Hz (2560×1600, 16:10) - I’ve been using the InnoView INVPM407 (IPS) 16” 2.5K 120Hz (2560×1600, 16:10) with both a MacBook Pro 16” M1 Max and a Mac mini M4, and my experience has been excellent. The shipping experience was excellent as well. The monitor arrived well packaged, properly sealed, and in completely brand-new condition. Everything inside the box was neatly organized, and the monitor arrived in perfect shape with no dead or stuck pixels, which was one of my biggest concerns when purchasing a portable display. One thing that is worth mentioning—and this is a macOS issue rather than a monitor issue—is that macOS initially detected the display as a 16:9 monitor instead of its native 16:10 aspect ratio. Because of that, enabling HiDPI resolutions resulted in black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, preventing the entire display from being used. The solution was BetterDisplay (Free version, macOS only). It allows macOS to recognize the monitor using its native 2560×1600 (16:10) aspect ratio, after which HiDPI works correctly across the full screen with no black bars. Once configured, everything worked perfectly. I was also able to enable the full 120 Hz refresh rate, making the monitor perform exactly as expected. It only takes a few minutes to configure, and after that the experience is excellent. The 2560×1600 resolution provides much more vertical workspace than a standard 16:9 monitor, making it ideal for software development, reading documentation, multitasking, and productivity. I also spent a little time calibrating the display. The best results came from using a small amount of Night Shift and increasing the display’s color temperature to around 6700 K using macOS’s built-in Display Calibrator, which provides much finer control than adjusting the monitor’s on-screen menu. I keep the monitor’s hardware brightness at 100%, and the final image looks warm, natural, and very comfortable for long working sessions. The built-in kickstand on the back of the monitor is also surprisingly sturdy and stable. It holds the display securely, is easy to adjust, and works very well for portable use. For desktop work, I also mounted it on a VESA monitor arm, which works exceptionally well. It transforms the monitor into a very ergonomic second display, keeps the desk clean, and makes it easy to position at eye level for long coding sessions. Compared with the outstanding Retina display on my MacBook Pro 16” M1 Max, I’d estimate this monitor delivers around 75–80% of that visual experience, which is impressive considering its price. The colors are vibrant, contrast is very good, and the 400 nits of brightness are more than enough for indoor use. Another major advantage is the single USB-C cable connection with the MacBook Pro for both video and power, while it also works flawlessly with the Mac mini M4. Overall, this monitor exceeded my expectations. If you’re a Mac user, especially a developer or anyone looking for a portable second display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 120 Hz, HiDPI support, and excellent text clarity, this is an outstanding value for the money. If you use macOS, I highly recommend spending a few minutes configuring BetterDisplay so the operating system recognizes the monitor’s native 2560×1600 (16:10) resolution correctly. The improvement in image quality and usability is absolutely worth it. I would definitely buy it again. I’ll continue updating this review over time if anything changes or if I discover anything worth mentioning during long-term use.

Wow, what a nice dual-screen (dual-panel) monitor!! It has two 4K high-quality screens separated by about an inch of bezels. Once I got it working, this thing was great. It's kind of amazing how much it adds to a laptop setup for such a reasonable price. My only issue was the initial connection. It wouldn't work until a brief discussion with InnoView's very helpful AI bot helped me realize you need to use the included USB-C cable, which carries both power and data. After that, it was completely plug-and-play with my MacBook Air M2 running Sequoia. It gives you a huge amount of screen space, is incredibly light, and the all aluminum construction feels sturdy. The display isn't quite Mac Retina quality, but it's excellent for web browsing, documents, spreadsheets, and general productivity. Designers may want something higher-end. It folds up easily, fits in a backpack, and is surprisingly power-efficient. My MacBook Air can run all three screens for 4–6 hours on battery alone, and when plugged in, the monitor pass-through charges the laptop. Overall, a great addition to a portable workspace-road warrior-FDE lifestyle.
