Patent leather runs a little smaller than suede in these
I am a big fitflop fan. I have arthritis knees so I look for shoes with thick cushy soles with good support to help reduce impact when I walk around. Fitflops and Teva’s are what I buy time and time again. I already have this style in grey suede and green patent leather so I know that they will stretch out and sort of form to your feet over time. I wear an 8.5 in sneakers and 9M in boots and dress shoes and a 9 fits me perfectly. The patent will be a little smaller than the suede to start out with but they will stretch out in usage. I love my dark green patent ones because they look snazzy and quirky and dressy enough for work. I really wanted to get the deep plum color but the cost is like $86 so I went for the black patent this time. I travel. lot for my work and these are great to travel through airports and planes with. The inside of the mules are soft and suede like. They are comfy like house slippers. They are easy to clean and don’t even show any wear. I wish they would sell all colors at the same cost. I wold have given them 5 stars if they did. I don’t understand why plum costs more than black?

Looks 10, verdict still out re patent leather lasting in the creases.
I returned the first two pairs of split shoes. Amazon refunded my money for the two pairs of shoes due to the special circumstances. I reordered the same shoes. Time will tell if the second pair of black and cherry patent shoes hold up.I have two of these patent mules. Both have split across the front of the top. I have had them less than 3 months. The Amazon order is past the return date. The rating below is based on the first weeks wear. The star rating is based on the fact that the shoes fit well and are very comfortable. The Shuv Mule in Patent is new for me. I have only worn them for a few days so I can't comment re how well the patent will hold up. The creases show already. I'm hoping they don't tear or break in the crease. So commenting on anything other than the size and comfort is too soon. They are very pretty in Hot Cherry.

Gorgeous color, NO CRACKING!
I ordered the Fitflops' previous patent leather model, the one with studs around the shoe and the leather split and cracked where my foot bent. It was ugly, but I wore them anyway as to not let them go to waste, they're not what I consider inexpensive, but I loved the patent leather. I was nervous these would do the same thing, NOPE! I am an RN, I do a quite a bit of bending, stooping, squating and my feet can be bent/toes flexed severely. These are holding strong and clean and looking like new after 6 weeks! They are not leather, they are patent pleather but Fitflops must have done their research well. I also ordered these in the black cherry from 6pm (better price for the cherry). I love the green color. It's a muted pine green color, surprisingly neutral. But I also am a Packer fan😄 and have Packer scrubs! Anyway, both the green and the black cherry color are a nice change of pace with some color without being 'in your face' obvious. Don't get me wrong, I'd wear the red ones too, or any color shoe except pink😝, but when you're a professional, sometimes a compromise is best!

My Feet Sing Harmony in Fit Flops
Well, this is my 8th pair of Fit Flops and my first pair of mule Fit Flops. Needless to say, I love the comfort and style of these shoes. They make my feet sing in harmony, no matter what the terrain. This style, the mule, I 've found to be a little loose above the instep however, ( I can slide the tip of my index finger in between the shoe and my foot) which makes me walk in them like a house shoe (without socks or leggings), rather than fitting really snugly like a shoe . The length is perfect and the toe box is roomy enough for a perfect un-cramped toe spread.. I wear a size 9M. The color is terrific; very berrylike , bold and shiny . I like that. All in all, I think that they are going to be just fine. I'll handle the "flop".

Love fitflops
I found my first pair of Fitflop sandals at TJMaxx several years ago. I will never go back to any other show. For me they are pricey but with plantar fascitis and that I stand for work they are the best for me. The black patent ones I just bought from Amazon are great for work and seem a bit dressy. I believe this style may have been discontinued by Fitflop. I have the cherry red ones too and they are so comfortable and a beautiful colour. The only things they could change would be more consistent sizing, it seems like I wear a different size in the different styles and I would love to have this much comfort in a dress shoe that I could wear with a fancy dress.. Update: have just ordered my second pair because I am afraid when I wear them out I will not be able to find another pair. If they went with everything I would wear no other shoe. How's that for a review?

Had to have something to wear with slacks to the office!! (thanks to my plantar fasciitis)
My plantar fasciitis is lingering, despite my orthotics; PT; stretching exercises; and night splints. It's getting better very slowly, but I really needed something that looked semi-respectable to peek out from my trouser legs. These fit the bill! And, they (like my other 3 pairs of fitflop shoes) give the needed relief to that darn heel pain. The shiny patent leather look (don't know or care if it's real patent leather) gives that professional look that I need to meet with clients. My foot is narrow, and the shoe doesn't fit snug so my stocking feet do slide up to the toe. But, I have this bone growth on the top of my foot (up from the arch) that gets aggravated if the shoe is too snug, and this shoe doesn't bug that bone spur. So, I'll probably add something around the toe area to get a more snug fit. I can live with that.

Shoe Nirvana
Finally a decent replacement for my Borns! I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day. Good or bad shoes make or break the day. For about 10 years I've been wearing the same clog from the company Born but they no longer make the style and every other style or shoe brand wasn't as comfortable. The poor shoe I had finally gave up the ghost after 4 x a week usage and 10 years. Talk about a well made shoe!! I was in despair until I found these. They are a God send. They are even MORE comfortable than the Borns AND give you a slight leg work out?!! Fantastic shoe. I will say it took about 3 days to break it in as the top of the shoe is a little low and rubbed the top of my foot a bit at first. I wear an 8.5 and got an 8. I think I would do a 9 next time.

Warning they come up small - get a size larger
These come up small so although I am a size 5 1/2 to 6 I had to send one pair back and order a 7. I have relatively wide feet and they were too narrow in the size 6. After having them for a few years for wearing around the house, they have now begun to come apart.

they are better than the previous shoes I have worn (tried 3 ...
I have very fussy feet, they are better than the previous shoes I have worn (tried 3 pairs prior to this one), I do find that the sizes are a little tight. I am between a 51/2 and 6 and this is just about ok, it is tight toward the front, but because its soft leather it will give.
