Civivi Yonder Dark Green. Amazing new EDC!
First off, I got the Yonder in dark green and let me tell you this knife looks great. The feel of the knife is also great with the Micarta handles and the jimping on the top. It feels very secure in the hand even with its smaller size. The Crossbar lock mechanism feels rock solid and is silky smooth opening and closing, allowing for easy one hand operation. There’s also zero wiggle between the blade and handle. The knife is light weight yet still somehow feels substantial in the hand. Civivi put out a great knife with the Yonder and I can see why it won Best Buy of the year. It has quickly become my go to EDC knife. For its price point it’s hard to beat. I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about it. It even comes in a nice case with some stickers and other swag. If your thinking about this knife just buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

Discrete carry and sharp
It's pretty clear from the reviews that this knife is not for everyone. For me, it's perfect for the things I do daily around the house like cutting boxes, opening plastic wrappings, ripping into rags, etc. It feels pretty sturdy for light to medium tasks like these as the knife is very sharp and easy to handle. I love the quality and feel of the black burlap handle; more on the smooth side than grippy, but definitely textured. The feature that stood out most was the location of the clip and length; level with the rear of the knife and short. Carrying it is very discrete from and pocket, front or back .

A great EDC for the price with top tier features.
This is an extremely high quality knife (especially for the price) that came out of the box scalpel sharp. Nothing about its design is cheap, it's ambidextrous for the south paws and easily opened/closed with one hand. It's not a huge knife so if you have large hands you might find it small. I have medium sized hands and can get a 4-finger grip on the handle. Large hands will likely get 3. Because of the type of steel which is very tough and retains an edge, and again is *sharp,* it is prone to rust - so this requires one to take some care with exposing the blade to moisture. If you're looking for a small/medium EDC knife with a lot of features for the price point this is a very good buy.

Wear it everyday. Great pocket knife.
The CIVIVI Yonder is a versatile folding pocket knife designed by Zac Whitmore, specifically optimized for everyday carry (EDC) through its compact 2.88-inch blade and lightweight profile. It gained significant industry acclaim by winning the "Best Buy of the Year" award at the 2024 BLADE Show, recognized for its exceptional value and build quality civivi. The knife features a smooth crossbar lock mechanism, allowing for safe, ambidextrous one-handed operation. This pocket knife is smaller than my previous, but you quickly get used to the natural feel in your hand and the quality of the blade. I carry this knife everyday and highly recommend it to all.

Week detent, but otherwise fantastic
This is a great little every day Carry pocket knife. I find that it fits great in my hand. I can easily fit three fingers on the main area, and my pinky sits on the angled rear portion of the handle.. The black G 10 scales feel great in the hand and while the blade stock is quite thin, the handle itself is a bit chunkier, which I actually like as it tends to fill out the hand and provides a good amount of grip. Now back to the blade, I really like the look of this, as it has a more traditional looking blade style. I’ve seen some people calling this a reverse tanto or modified sheep’s foot, but this is essentially an oversized spat such as you would see on a trapper knife. It cuts very well, having arrived very sharp out of the box as usual for this brand. The crossbar lock works well, however the one ding that I give it it’s that the detent at least on my version seems to be way too loose. I can literally just flick the knife with my hand without touching the crossbar lock and the blade will deploy. Essentially it opens and closes too easily and that is one area where I find myself just a bit nervous with it sitting in my pocket. I wonder if whether or not it’s just gonna open from jostling around. Having dropped this knife once or twice I can say that both times the blade deployed. I took the scales off, but there’s no way to easily adjust the spring as it does not have adjustable tension like many of Kizer‘s. I could play with the springs, but I’m not gonna do that. I haven’t really seen too many other people that have this issue so it’s probably just a one off, but it’s something to look out for. I don’t carry this in my pocket instead I keep this knife in one of my man bags in a little pouch along with the other tools that I carry in there. I wouldn’t let this dissuade you from purchasing since as I’ve said I have not encountered anybody else who is really had this problem but it’s an absolutely great every day Carry blade. The 14 C 28 and Blade steel is one of my favorites as it’s relatively easy to touch up and it’s very sharp very tough blade steel. Another good knife from Civivi.

Sometimes, a company just gets it right... this is one of those times.
***UPDATE: I recently bought the black-bladed version, and the handle on that one has much better grip IMO. I prefer it to the first one I got, but they are both great knives. **** I just got this one in, and all I can say is WOW! This knife is just really nice, folks. This one is sure to go down in the EDC Hall of Fame. It's smooth, it's slick, and the design is remarkable. The fit and finish is top notch, and the factory edge on this knife is superb. No blade-play in either direction, useful blade shape, just the right size, ergos are excellent, and the centering is perfect. We'll see how it holds up, but I have very high hopes for this one. I'll update as necessary, but I can't find anything wrong with it... at all. I think this one is going to be a winner all the way around. I would say go ahead and buy it now! Like I said above, sometimes, a company just gets it right... and this is one of these times. Bravo Civivi! UPDATE: If there is a knock on this knife, it is that the G10 is a bit slick, and this is accentuated by the fact that the knife is a smaller edc-style knife. However, that does not take away from this brilliant design. This is still a great knife and serves well as a small edc knife that can handle most edc jobs. I would recommend a slightly longer handle and better grip on the G10, and then it would be perfect. I'm going to leave my rating as is because there is still so much to like about this knife.

EDC knife of the Year
This feels great in hand. Perfect size for a knife to be in pocket all day. You can barely feel it. The blade quality is top notch. The weight feels great in hand and in pocket. That handle looks great. The price you can not beat. You can purchase a knife that’s over 100$ Then you have to worry about losing it. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice to own those knifes. Having a knife like this solves that in my opinion. This is a wonderful EDC. I just purchased the black model for a friend. Life time warranty. Feels and functions nicely. Super smooth action. They have many styles to choose from. You can start with this knife and build from there. The design is legit. Made with strong materials and had a great shape. I hope more colors come out soon!

HUGE Civivi fan
I have become a huge Civivi fan due to the quality and functionality of their knives. They are not overly expensive but are well made and of very good quality. The Civivi Yonder is my go to pocket knife but I am splitting time with the Civivi Sendy. The Yonder had a more robust structure than the Sendy so it's better for some of the more rugged needs. The handle texture is absolutely great and looks phenomenal. The knife came razor sharp out the box and has kept its sharpness going on a few months. Has a great deep pocket clip. Would highly recommend this knife if you're looking for a sturdy, every day use type knife.
