The Quality and functionality
EXCELLENT WINDOW CMAERA -TOP TIER!!! Amazing night vision. I live in a condo and my balcony sits at ground level. I have an outdoor standard spotlight camera and decided to get a window camera as a backup, in the event someone tampers with the outdoor camera. Let me tell you this!!! The video quality is amazing and it comes with speaker and alarm capabilities. Easy set-up. Here are two photos ; night vision and daytime. It's super sensitive to motion, so I recommend setting detection zone to avoid nonstop notifications. It will detect normal daily activity ANYTHING I'm only concerned about entry on my balcony, so I tailored my detection zone specifically to get alerts should someone come onto my balcony.

YES! It works with your NVR (SecuritySpy, BlueIris,...)
This camera was a breeze to set up. The image is good, and customer support is fantastic! Very good value for money. Out of the box, it does not support your NVR (RTSP or ONVIF - but they're working on that). A simple email to their customer support (I emailed Saturday morning and within an hour had a useful response). I use the SecuritySpy NVR software with 20 cameras, so naturally I wanted a window camera that would easily integrate. I emailed Girafit support asking for RTSP support so that I could use it with SecuritySpy. Within 2 hours they had updated the firmware of my camera and it works flawlessly - better than some other brands I use with SecuritySpy NVR software. Here are the instructions for getting your Girafit Window Camera to work with an NVR: Once you have your camera powered up and added via the Girafit iphone app, email or chat with online support, which can be accessed from the Help menu in the Girafit app. They will ask you for a the model number and the Device ID. The model number is on the box and the Device ID can be found by selecting your camera in the App. You will see on your phone what the camera is viewing. Click the "..." on the top right of the image to go to "Device Settings". You must ask them for the firmware update to support RTSP in that email or chat. On this screen, scroll down to see the "General" icon (cog). Tap that. On the "General Settings" screen, tap the "About Device". That will give you the information that you need to provide the support at Girafit. They will respond with an email containing instructions. You'll need to wait about 2 hours after you receive that email. They will "push" the firmware upgrade to your camera. Once you have the new firmware, you will have to configure SecuritySpy to connect to it. Here are the settings you will need or it will not work: Device Type / Profile: manual Address: The IP address of your camera - also in the Device Info screen of your Girafit iPhone app. Format: RTSP Port: Leave blank Manual profile path: live0 for the first stream or live1 for the second stream* Username: admin Password: The password that you used when you set up your Girafit account when installing the iPhone app * Note, different cameras may have different profile paths. If live0/live1 do not work with your Girafit camera, try live/ch0.

High Quality and affordable 3MP pixel (2K) wi-fi Camera
This is a wi-fi monitoring camera with camera capable of recording in 2K resolution. The picture and video provided is very sharp. The camera lens is 2.88mm with 105 degrees of view. The camera is very easy to setup. It can connect to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz wi-fi networks. There is a 9 foot 8 inches long USB-C power cable that connects the camera to the provided power adapter. There is an LED status light that changes color to indicate the various stages of connecting to the home wi-fi network. Once connection is successfully establish, the LED light remains on solid blue. Access to the camera can be easily shared with family and friends via the Girafit app. Snapshots and video recordings can be stored locally in Micro SD card (32 GB to 256 GB capacity) or to the cloud with subscription in either 360P or 2K resolution or both. The auto-focus on the camera works very well, no need to setup focus. My current older generation wi-fi camera requires me to setup a pre-set focus and it was a lot more expensive than this one. The IR on my older wi-fi camera shows reflections from the window at night, so the night time scenes are very distracting and hard to use. This camera's IR lights does not show reflections, which is very nice. The camera uses the ChroMAX AI Color Night Vision technology to view night scenes in vivid color. I am blown away by this awesome technology. My previous wi-fi camera's nightvision scene is only provided in black and white. This new capability is very nice. It renders the night scenes to very similar to the daytime scene. If you want to zoom in, spread out two fingers on the picture. Squeeze in two fingers to zoom in again. The adhesive backed mounting frame sticks securely to the window. After choosing initial mounting position. I decided to change to a new location. When I tried to take the camera off the adhesive backed mounting frame; it was hard to do, which is a good thing. The velcro on the camera holds onto the mounting frame securely. Two large and one small mounting frames are provided. I have it setup to view the driveway, so now I can see whoever is coming up on the driveway, as well as most of the front yard 24/7. I was considering an outdoor mounted wi-fi camera, but now this one fits my needs and I like that it can stay indoors protected from the elements. If technical support is needed; phone, email and live chat via the Giraft app is available. 2 years of product warranty is included, which is very unusual in the products in this category these days. I highly recommend this. This is a very capable wi-fi camera in a very affordable package.

Good camera, some drawbacks
This camera works decently. However there are a few drawbacks. For me, the picture quality is a bit blurry and nowhere near the crystal clear images shown in the marketing pictures. I don’t know if it’s something on my end that I’m doing wrong. There isn’t much glare in the space so that’s not the problem. The biggest issue I have with this camera has to do with the alerts that you get from the app. There are two types of movement alerts it sends: “Person Detected” or “Other Motion Detected.” To give you an idea, other motion will include things like birds, bugs, shadows, lightning, cars. However there will often CLEARLY be a person in the video but it will classify it as “other motion.” This is a problem if you are using it for security obviously. There is an option to set it to only alert you if it detects a person….but if you use that setting there could be a person there and you wouldn’t be alerted. So I keep it set to alert me to ALL which means I have to deal with all the alerts of cars driving by, lightning, etc. just to make sure I get alerted to all people that come up to my house. There are a lot of great features with the app otherwise and I find it pretty user-friendly. But I think buyers should be aware of this issue. This is the first security camera I’ve used so overall I’m happy with it because it gives me peace of mind and I can see what’s going on when I’m not around (catching nosy neighbors is the best).

Very happy so far with these Window Cameras - constant monitoring with RTSP
I bought a pair of these to replace some old Logitech Alerts I had using Powerline with Blue Iris recording the videos. I'd seen that these Window Cameras supported RTSP on Girafit's website in the FAQ section. After contacting Girafit support the FAQ stated they'd send new firmware to enable RTSP so I could continue using Blue Iris to do my own recording/storage. Initial setup was very easy with the Girafit IOS app. I emailed Girafit support and they responded within minutes, told me what info they needed to enable RTSP, so I replied with my Girafit account details, and they replied almost immediately again and said they'd push the firmware within 6 hours.... but it took them far less. With that firmware loaded RTSP worked immediately and I've been using Blue Iris for constant monitoring + recording with these cameras ever since. Frankly their own Girafit app was pretty good but I wanted a little more control on my side. Quality of picture even at night is good enough for my needs, installation was easy, very responsive customer service - we're off to a great start! I've only had very minor issues, which I will put here just in case somebody from Girafit sees this or in case it helps another customer: 1) These devices wanted the MicroSD cards pre-formatted for FAT32 before it'd use them, apparently I had a different file system on my old ones and so I had to format to FAT32 using my PC first. 2) If using the built-in timestamp on video with their timezone setting, they don't have Arizona timezone, i.e. PST and MST are available as selections in the Girafit app, but in choosing either of those the time will be an hour off for residents of Arizona for 6 months out of the year and we would have to change the setting again manually with DST shifts. There are approx 8 million of us in Arizona, would be nice if they added an appropriate timezone setting. Ultimately a non-issue because I disabled the Girafit timestamp and have Blue Iris doing it instead.

Impressed
I’m gonna do a short little review on this camera because I just had to say what I thought about it. We got this at last minute because we were going out of town. And I’m really impressed with the quality of the camera and the notifications and how easy easy, easy easy easy it was to install. I mean it took nothing to install these cameras so they’re up there in our windows. I was worried that we’d have a problem with the condensation on the windows or the reflection, but there is none the night vision is epic daylight it’s full ultra spot on. I’m very impressed with these cameras and the app is easy to use easy to set up everything plus the price was great.

Great during the day. Useless at night.
What do I like? The app is well laid out and easy to use. Setup was relatively pain-free. During the day, it reliably creates events and notifications when it sees a person in the motion area. The daytime image quality is very good. The nighttime image quality is great but keep reading. What don't I like? If you just look at the regular image at night, it's great. The advertising suggests that it looks almost like daylight and they're right. But that's where the nighttime positive aspect ends. I can do jumping jacks 5 feet in front of the camera and it will not notify me and it will not create an event for it (yes, I have it set properly in the app - this isn't my first rodeo with security cameras). And when I look at the continuous recording of me, it looks like it's running at 3fps and my motion is so blurred and grainy that it's useless to identify a person. I would much rather have a traditional night vision (black and white) that has smooth motion and decent detail but I guess that's kind of a non-starter since the window glass glare would completely ruin the image. So I guess this is good as this relatively inexpensive camera can do.

Just beware of the glitchy app!
I’ve been using this camera for almost a year and overall I would say it’s a great camera! I have it on my window facing the balcony and it has not budged, it’s still standing strong and it doesn’t overheat. I like that its motion detector picks up motion even when it’s not visible on frame just yet. It does a fantastic job at recording people approaching from over 20ft away and it has amazing night vision. It alerts me right on time and I appreciate that! It has also never lost connection or missed several hours of recording like some cameras do. It will however occasionally not pick up events but I would say 85-90% of the time it does. The only real CON I have for this is the app! It takes forever to load sometimes and it buffers so much. I used to think it was my wifi but I have switched wifi providers and it still happens. Sometimes I want to go back on video footage or fast forward and it completely freezes and restarts the video so many times that it’s frustrating. It will freeze and I have to close the app and it still won’t play. The footage is there because it does do an amazing job at recording but the playback is a bit of a hassle sometimes! Overall the pros do outweigh the cons! Just something to look out for if you’re looking for a camera you are constantly monitoring.
