These are no problem for kids to take, since they have a slight sweetness to them as well.First person to try them was myself when I woke up with a sore throat one day... The sore throat we all know, and what is coming next. I immediately began taking this. Next morning, my wife had the sore throat. Neither of us ever got worse or more progressed than that one day of a sore throat and slight congestion. Seemed to really work for us!Next was the children. All started getting it... Somehow only two out of the 3 got their doses of this. Ironically, the two that got their doses recovered like us, but the one who didn't was down and out for an extra day or two before starting to get back to normal. I've been sick for three days before I even heard about this. I took it then laid down for a nap. About an hour later I woke up and I was full of energy. It does make your heart beat faster than normal. My headache and body aches are gone but my sore throat is back. So I'll give it 4 stars only because of the fast heartbeat.
