**Q: Anyone feeling uncomfortable with 200Lbs weight above your head? Screws look like wood screws.**
A: Substitute lag bolts if you feel threatened we didn’t just drove them into ceiling joists will hold way more than 200 lbs

**Q: It is possible to make the platform 5’ instead of 6’? And also move in the pulley by 1’ too?**
A: Hi there-
The platform is welded steel, so if you're capable, anything is possible!  If you attempt to adjust the pulley in by a foot though, the platform wouldn't hang level - unless you can shorten the far pulley by a foot as well. It also isn't recommended if you don't hit a ceiling joist (if you're installing perpendicular or across joists, not along a single one), as they're typically 16" or 24" on center.  Failure to install in accordance with Assembly instructions may result in damage to property or bodily injury.

**Q: Why 2 points instead of 4? Wouldn’t it be safer with four points of contact? Hey**
A: That's a very good question, and thank you for asking!  Proslat purchased the Garage Gator brand in January 2018 and has since been working to innovate and improve wherever possible.  Yes, 2 contact points does require that the load be balanced, and we've got a plan to improve that feature for product safety reasons. **Q: Will this hold 220 lbs in addition to the platform or do you need to subtract the platform weight from 220 to get the true capacity?**
A: It is 220 lbs. in total, so you will want to subtract the 55 lb. weight of the platform from that.  If you require 200+ lbs. of lift capacity, we do manufacture a 275 lb. motor.  For more information on that, please email us at sales@proslat.com.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Packaging needs to improve

Hardware was falling out of the box. There was no indication that there were going to be two packages, so when the platform arrived without the motorized hoist mechanism, I sent it back as not being correct. Then the hoist mechanism arrived, followed by another platform (hardware falling out of the box). Then a second hoist mechanism arrived - which I sent back. Overall, the product is well designed and accurately fabricated. I had to adjust the cable lengths to make the platform hang level (even when empty). Once loaded with 2 mountain bikes on a rack, I added counterweights to the platform to keep it level.

Well until I get the platform instructions I don't even know if all the pieces are there the gator itself is ok. I'm a 53 year old disabled women but I got installed. The gator seems ok the instructions could use improving. The 3 X 6 platform that I purchased with it didn't come with any instructions or what the contents I was to have. The hardware is loose in the box after all that money they couldn't spring for a plastic bag. Also, I can't finish the project until I get a manual so everything is just laying on the garage floor where my husband's truck is to be. Our HOA is going to love him parking in front of the house. I've emailed the company lets see how long I'll be ignored.

Was a bit of doing to put it up but all went well, it works and holds 220 pounds or so... make sure you have 10' or higher garage ceilings tho'...
