Truthfully it's an excellent add-on to an nvg 50
Surprisingly this actually worked very well on my ng50. Gave me a lot more field of view and the clarity was very good, almost excellent I would say. It is worth the pennies.

Good upgrade
Works as described. Does add a bit of bulk to the unit. And also cast a shadow from the low mounted inferred light.

Won’t stay on
The good- these do genuinely add a lot to your fov. The bad- they simply don’t stay on. You probably need to glue them, because there isn’t enough room to tape them and they fall right off if you look downwards or too quickly. I wanted these to work, because it would be a good benefit. But they simply won’t stay on- even the instructions explain that they are fragile and they ask that you hold them on manually, which is a ridiculous ask for something like nvgs.

Worth it.
Got this for an nvg50, it fits on great but slides off when facing downward, I'll have to nigrig it some way, but it does widen the view noticably.

Wide angle lens but not at a 1x magnification
Doesn't give a 1/1 perspective, it basically creates a zoomed out picture which does then give a wider field of view, but, objects appear farther away than they truly are, so while it does do whaty it says it's supposed to it does so at the cost of having a distorted perception of distance of your surroundings. Doesn't work for my application and I'm guessing it wouldn't work for most.

Great with a small modification
These work great but they have one critical issue. They mount with a simple slip fit. Look down too fast and it will fall off. I've heard of people using tape to keep the lens on but I wanted something better. I drilled a small hole in the adapter, tapped it and installed a very small set screw. Issue resolved but the manufacturer should have done this.
