Nothing like it
No Spoilers, all deserve to experience it for the first time on there own time. Between the gorgeous soundtrack, environments, designs and presentation and art direction. It's all accented to feel fitting for what is one of the most beautifully tragic, and also cinamatically well showcased and how intense the it all feels when you also account for such a brilliant combat system, that puts skill and intelligence all together in one. all the same fixing the rpg grinding issue where you can't ever dissengaged, you always are paying attention and dealing with the fights themselves more so onwards. And over all are some of the greatest fights in video games I have ever played.

Stunning game, simply amazing!
Hands down the best RPG I've played in a decade. It's visually stunning, music is amazing, story is rich, Voice acting is top notch. I liked all the characters. Combat is fantastic and who would have thought that a couple simple changes would have made all the difference in a turn base game. Dodge, parry and block is a brilliant addition to turn based combat.

Amazing game! If you haven't played it, do it now!
I’m honestly blown away by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I wish I had started this game sooner. From the very beginning, it pulls you in with its atmosphere, art direction, and unique tone. The world feels rich and thoughtfully designed, and the story has a weight to it that keeps you wanting to see what happens next. The combat is engaging and rewarding, striking a great balance between strategy and intensity. It feels fresh compared to other RPGs I’ve played, and it keeps me thinking instead of just going through the motions. The characters are memorable, and the overall presentation—from visuals to music—is top tier. And speaking of the music, the soundtrack is amazing! If you’re even remotely interested in story-driven RPGs, don’t wait like I did. This one is absolutely worth your time. It's no wonder it swept the Game Awards.

A masterpiece in every way.
One of the best games ever made. Deep, thought provoking story and relationships as well as philosophical and existential themes. Gorgeous graphics and possibly the best original soundtrack in the history of gaming. Unique active/ turn based battle system with deep customization build options. This is a special game that would never have survived AAA focus groups and was made by a small French developer. A masterpiece in every way.

Great game
Had so much fun with this game. Great story and characters and awesome gameplay. Compared to BG# its really a 4.5 stars and bg3 is 5 but I cannot recommend this game more for rpg fans.

Version 1.0 has issues
Amazing game. I played through a year ago on PC and was totally hooked. Never beat Simon though. I swore I would wait to buy it on physical media, but it never came out on PC disc. I ended up with a PS5 disc edition, and this was the first game I bought. The entire game is playable offline, no stupid download code in the box or anything - perfect for collecting. Replaying seeing all the story lore I didn't pick up on the 1st time is well worth it, and switching my secondary lineup to Sciel and Monoco creates new challenges. That said, I've encountered game-breaking bugs a couple times already that result in softlocks. One is fairly easy to activate on accident, where you end up targeting nothing with an attack that belongs to your teammate, another where Esquie just gets stuck on the main map and can't move. Gustave's mustache has a weird rendering bug where it looks like a greenscreen of sand. These were never present on the PC version I played, so there are bugs that require internet patches (PSN account). I will just suffer through not having those.

A Masterpiece – Game of the Decade
Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is nothing short of breathtaking. The graphics are absolutely stunning, blending realism with a dreamlike atmosphere that pulls you in from the very first moment. Every detail—lighting, textures, and environments—feels carefully crafted to create an otherworldly experience. The characters are memorable and deeply human, and everything in this game—art, sound, gameplay—comes together seamlessly. The story is unique and compelling, the kind you don’t want to rush through or skip a single line of dialogue. It rivals Nier Automata in terms of narrative depth, music, and character development. Speaking of music—the soundtrack is simply phenomenal. This may be the best score ever composed for a video game, enhancing every moment and cementing the emotional weight of the journey. Gameplay-wise, the balance is near perfect. The campaign remains consistently challenging without ever feeling unfair, and the mechanics encourage creativity and experimentation. There’s a level of depth here that keeps every encounter fresh and rewarding. This isn’t just one of the best PS5 games to date—it’s a landmark achievement in gaming. Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is my clear pick for Game of the Year, and quite possibly Game of the Decade. Highly recommended.

Obra maestra
