Reasonable quality
First of all, you don’t get two pairs, you get two gloves. However, for the price I’m happy with my purchase. The inner stitching is poor in places, but overall the quality is about what I expected for the price I paid. They are comfortable and fit me well, but I don’t have particularly large hands.

I buy these for gardening and heavy jobs. Great protection.
Very thick and protective against thorns, nettles, rough wood etc.

blasey manufacturer packaging.
The glove seems a little thin leather , it's lined and comfy , perhaps they presume alot of one handed free style work could go on on occasions !Delivery was great , but these products from this manufacturer should be removed and sent back to the manufacturer if they are so blasey about there packing it randomly wrong .I hope they don't do that with boots aswell.

Passable
+Take a fair bit of punishment before cooking+Warm and comfortable+Relatively flexible compared to other makes-Might have just been a duff pair, but the stitching along the index finger burned out after about an accumulated 40 hours of heavy use.

Okay for the barbecue, just thin, so you have to be careful
Hey, guys. I wanted to share my experience with the Portwest Welders Gauntlet gloves I purchased from Amazon. I got these gloves to use for my barbecue, not for welding.Overall, I gave these gloves 3 out of 5 stars. They were okay, but not great. One thing I didn't like about these gloves is they are quite thin, so they don't offer much in terms of insulation compared to similar gloves I have purchased in the past. It's impossible to tell how thick the leather or the inner insulation on Amazon, which means you have to wait for them to arrive to determine if they will meet your needs. These gloves worked fine for dumping coals and moving them around (as long as you're fast), but there is a risk of getting burned if handling hot metal such as grill grates or cast iron. You have to test before picking things up, which can be a bit of a pain (or a huge pain if you don't test). I would not recommend these for wood-burning fires where the coals can be much hotter. One thing I did like about these gloves is the gauntlet style, which offers good wrist protection. No more singed arm hair!Lastly, while this isn't the manufacturer's fault, I wanted to warn my fellow Londoners that foxes love to steal these gloves if left out. I lost both gloves after leaving them out on two separate occasions. In summary, these gloves are okay for basic barbecue purposes, but I wouldn't recommend them for handling hot metal. They're relatively thin and don't offer much insulation, so you must be careful when using them. The gauntlet style is nice for protecting your wrists, but make sure you keep them out of reach of pesky foxes!
