Brought this for my grandson it’s such a lovey night light and the light show is beautiful my grandson was mesmerised

Bought as a gift for an 8yr old. We already have one so know what they’re like. This is a sturdy robust item which generates a fairly large nebula effect and a good projection of bright laser stars. It’s more than enough for the average size ceiling I would say. The remote is rather flimsy but seemed to do the trick increasing brightness and changing the colours of the nebula. The little moon the astronaut holds is a cute extra feature and can also be colour controlled or switched off. Why only 3 stars? The real magical effect of these things is that the nebular moves on the surface of the wall/ ceiling and is really lovely to watch. Sadly, this feature was not working on this item and it really does make all the difference, so I’m having to return. This is the second time of trying to purchase this type of item. The first (a different model made by another manufacturer) was poorer quality overall and was not supplied with the promised usb. Think it’s a bit of a hit and miss affair with these things! Nevertheless I am going to order this exact same item again because I suspect the overall quality is much better than a lot of the others out there. Good job Amazon makes returns easy. Fingers crossed for third time lucky! NB As the stars are laser generated, the safety instructions rightly warn you not to look at the laser. However if buying for a child, the astronaut would need to be placed higher up and the usb cable supplied would not stretch this far- none of them do. Not a deal breaker. Just buy a longer usb. UPDATE…. Reordered item arrived and nebula is moving! Stars upgraded!! Can’t comment on this items longevity as remote is very cheap but honestly for the money (with Amazons £5 discount voucher) you really can’t go wrong. Get it bought!

Good quality

I'm very pleased with this as everything works as it should and it's far easier with the remote as well, the nebula effect is pleasing and I like how the stars can be changed to either be solid or fading in and out you can have all features working at once or a combination or one at a time with no problems and the timer works well with the remote control. It's nice to have just as a small light if you select white for the ball color and during the day it's neat just as a little figurine. This is very good value for money and considering I'd read reviews of problems with more expensive ones, I would definitely recommend this one. One reviewer mentioned the music didn't work, I think that's just a translation issue with the product as the word music is on the light function button, music means colour change in this case.

This has stopped working properly after only 6 months - the nebula doesn't move and the stars don't come on at all. Very disappointed!

Got this for our grandson. Not given it to him yet. The large lens stopped working, had a look at why it's not working. The wiring to power the large lens had parted from the pcb it was attached to. I will fix it then give it to him. Looked great when it was working.

So my son wanted one of these as I had one. However this one is way better than my one, I might have to purchase one myself. So many colours and designs and also can be used as a bedside nightlight as the spaceman can bend and sit down. With my one it falls over because of the weight of the head on it. I really wish I ordered myself one of these instead of the one I currently have. Such a great price and my son absolutely loves it!

My children have this on every night they absolutely love this 😊
