Not a bad little tool to help with putting breaks

In an ideal world this would be the perfect putter friend, however how many putting greens are actually perfectly flat, the truth of the matter is that no putting green is perfect and more then often enough would tilt n dip in various directions. Think of the putting lawn as a metal plat that has been banged up a little. The green reader may well tell you to bank right but unless you check the lawn all the way to the whole you will miss any change in banking or any incline. Sure you can always walk and test the green as you go but it is not at all practical especially if your on a busy course. Its about the size of a £2 coin, has a metal base and uses magnets to attach to the holder. The trouble is that you can easily flick the reader off the holder and you are more then likely to loose it before you use it. Sadly I cannot recommend this for golf. It could be used as a shelve level or table level checking device however for a non discounted price of £9.95 there are better options on the market.

It's technically a spirit level the size of a standard ball marker with some printed indicators showing which way the green is sloping when you place the marker behind your ball. While I don't deny this works within the immediate area it is placed on it has no way of telling what slope and direction the green is going further on from the ball. Reading greens is a skill that comes from many years of playing golf, easy to understand, always difficult to master and a tiny spirit level isn't going to help much over your own experience. But take it for what it is, a bit of fun that would make a great novelty gift for any golfer. A little pricey for what you actually get here, in my opinion at least. The level is magnetic on the base and can stick to the included hat clip for easy transportation and access, should you decide to actually try this out during a round of golf.

It is o.k. as agadget but not really helpfull as its too tiny and light.If you have great eyesight its fine but also when you put it on the grass its moved by it.

Got this courtesy of the Vine programme - a perfect little gift for a golf fanatic like my grandson who is and wanted one. Husband said it is merely a tiny spirit level and, be that as it may, it works...plus, you can't clip a spirit level onto your gold cap - a little clip for that purpose is included - nor can you simply pop a spirit level into your pocket besides which, it's that minutia, when you are just by the hole and so close but, but a slight lift in the grass sends your ball off into a different direction. Son-in-law said, golfers love gadgets that might improve their games and, why not. This is like a mini spirit level, it is the size of a £1 coin, so simple to use, can be clipped to your hat or, whatever, or sit handily in your pocket. I think it is well worth £6.99 for the pleasure or anticipation of pleasure it will bring. Treat a loved one, they will be absolutely delighted with it. I may just buy one for my best friend too.

My adult son who is a hobby golfer had not seen or heard of this device before and thought it sounded like a great idea in practice. Unfortunately this little device is a bit small and light to give an accurate indication of the lie of the land unless that land is steeply sloped so he didn’t find it that useful.
